Who is trending up in fantasy women's basketball? Which rotations are changing? What's the latest with the notable injuries around the WNBA?
Here's a look around the league at the most fantasy-relevant news and notes for all 12 teams.
Due to the surprising availability of Aari McDonald in 48.8% of leagues, I will mention her again in this column. She has averaged 15 PPG, 2.1 RPG, 4.3 APG and 2.0 SPG in 32.7 MPG over her last seven games. Six of McDonald's last seven games have resulted in 24 or more fantasy points. Since joining the Dream's starting lineup, she has been superb.
Azura Stevens, who's available in 50% of leagues, has had statistical ups and downs all season. However, recently things are trending up. In three of her last five games, Stevens has scored 25 or more fantasy points. Stevens is a solid option if you want to increase exposure to a Sky team that averages the second most PPG (85.4) in the league.
Courtney Williams has scored 29 or more fantasy points three times in the past five games. She's still available in 17.6% of leagues. The only teams that average more PPG than the Sun (85.2) are the Sky and Aces (90.5). For those looking for exposure to one of the league's top offenses, Natisha Hiedeman remains a viable streamer as well. She's available in 88.5% of leagues. In the last four games, Hiedeman has averaged 15.5 fantasy points.
During the past seven games, Arike Ogunbowale has delivered some epic performances for fantasy managers. Five times, she scored 40 or more fantasy points. If you're looking for a streamer, Teaira McCowan is still available in 38.7% of leagues. She has averaged 19.5 fantasy points in her last four games.
The Fever are the youngest team in the league and have struggled on both side of the floor all season. Indiana ranks 10th in offensive rating (96.5) and 12th in defensive rating (107). Unlike the Aces, the Fever don't have a fantasy bonanza, but they do have a few players who are overlooked in fantasy. Queen Egbo is still available in 42.2% of leagues and has averaged 19.7 fantasy points per game this season.
Riquna Williams finally returned to the Aces earlier this week after a lingering foot injury, and she played 12 minutes. She's available in 87.6% of leagues. Williams is worth stashing if you have the roster space to see what role she plays in Las Vegas' rotation, since the Aces already rank first in offensive rating (107.5).
Olivia Nelson-Ododa, who is available in 98.6% of leagues, has scored 10 or more fantasy points in three of her last four games. If you are participating in a deeper format, she can provide fantasy managers with well rounded statistical lines. Katie Lou Samuelson is another Sparks streamer who is available in 77% of leagues. This season, she has averaged 18.6 fantasy points per game.
Natalie Achonwa (available in 98% of leagues) has scored 20 or more fantasy points twice in her first four games this season averaging 16.2 minutes per game. Achonwa is on the fantasy radar with the Lynx desperately trying to fill the void left by Sylvia Fowles and Nikolina Milic underperforming.
Currently available in 80% of leagues, Stefanie Dolson is trending up. Over the last six games she's averaged 8.3 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 2.8 APG and 1.2 BPG in 24.6 MPG. Over that period, Dolson has scored 20 or more fantasy points three times. As another streaming option, Han Xu is available in 85.2% of leagues and has averaged 18.4 fantasy points per game.
After parting ways with Tina Charles last Saturday, it appears likely that Shey Peddy, who is available in 90.5% of leagues, will maintain her starting role in the backcourt since the Mercury have been leaning on their guards more recently. Five of her last six games have seen Peddy score 18 or more fantasy points.
Tina Charles will make her Storm debut in Wednesday's game against the Aces. In addition to averaging 31.3 fantasy points per game, she has a usage rate of 26.1%. This trend should continue in Seattle. The Storm ranks 2nd in defensive rating (96), but 9th in offensive rating (98.3). Charles will be able to contribute offensively for Seattle immediately, and she should be able to coexist with the rest of the team's playmakers.
Another player who should be on more fantasy teams is Alysha Clark, who is available in 50.3% of leagues. I mentioned her last week and will do so again. Why? She deserves it. During the past 10 games, Clark has averaged 10.5 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 2.5 APG and 1.4 SPG in 26.5 MPG. On nights when Elena Delle Donne is not active, Clark's fantasy ceiling is even higher.
