Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold mimicking Mbappe has Reds fans dreaming PSG star is Anfield-bound

Trent Alexander-Arnold mimicking Kylian Mbappe's trademark goal celebration has got Liverpool fans dreaming that the Paris Saint-Germain star is on his way to Anfield...

The Toe Poke Daily is here every day to bring you all the weirdest stories, quirkiest viral content and top trolling that the internet has to offer, all in one place.

Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold was the Premier League's undisputed king of Boxing Day after his virtuoso display in the 4-0 win at Leicester City.

In fact, Dec. 26 was a halcyon day for players in that position with Manchester United's Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Tottenham's Serge Aurier, and Everton's Djibril Sidibe all setting up key goals in wins for their respective teams.

But it was Alexander-Arnold who stole the show at the King Power Stadium in the day's late game as he claimed two assists, scored one goal for himself and took the corner which won the penalty converted by James Milner. Since the start of last season, the 21-year-old has registered 20 assists in England's top flight, more than anyone else in that period.

Alexander-Arnold -- ranked No.1 among the world's right-backs in ESPN's FC 100 -- earned a 10/10 rating for his performance in the win that sent Liverpool 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League.

England international Alexander-Arnold celebrated his goal in eye-catching style, mimicking Kylian Mbappe's trademark pose by the corner flag after finishing in a manner that the Paris Saint-Germain striker would be proud of.

It didn't take long for Liverpool fans on social media to put 2 and 2 together and get #Mbappe2020.

One even claimed to have pictorial evidence that it's already a done deal.

But wait... was Alexander-Arnold's celebration just the latest in a sustained campaign of covert messages from Liverpool stars trying to lure Mbappe to Anfield?

Or, alternatively, is this confirmation that young Trent will soon be making the move to the Parc des Princes?

We can't be certain. But one thing we know for sure is that the victory over Leicester was the biggest in a match involving the division's top two teams since a certain 6-1 win for Manchester City at Old Trafford back in 2011, and that Alexander-Arnold was right at the heart of it.
