Eriksen has a year left on his contract and could leave on a free next summer, while Atletico have been busy already this month with a number of players (including €126m Joao Felix) arriving.
The report states: "Coach Diego Simeone wants to add a creative midfielder to his squad and it is believed Spurs are aware of Atletico's interest."
Acosta, 25, almost joined PSG in January, while Manchester United have also been credited with interest. But it seems like Sevilla are at the front of the queue now if they can persuade one of MLS's best players to move.
Pochettino Jr. has put pen to paper on his first professional contract, having played for the under-18 side last season, and the 18-year-old winger could find himself in the first team at some point soon.
12.26 BST: Real Madrid are willing to listen to offers starting at €80m for Gareth Bale but have received none this summer, club sources have told ESPN FC, while the Wales international remains determined to stay.
12.04 BST: AS is reporting that Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos is close to a loan move to Arsenal, with the player more convinced by Unai Emery's interest over a potential move to Spurs or Inter Milan.
The 22-year-old reportedly wants more game time, but also sees his long-term future at the Bernabeu. Meanwhile Arsenal have very little cash to spend this summer and would be more than happy with a season-long loan move to bolster their midfield.
11.50 BST: Liverpool don't look like spending too much this summer... but here's someone who knows what he wants from them.
11.34 BST: Juventus starlet Moise Kean is attracting attention and Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Everton and Borussia Dortmund are leading the chase.
Kean, 19, is one of the most highly rated young players in Europe but has only one year left on his contract and talks have yet to reach an agreement on new terms. The report talks about a possible permanent move if things continue to stall, but any transfer would include a buyback clause in it.
11.02 BST: Record reports that Porto have offered PSG €6m for goalkeeper Kevin Trapp.
Trapp evidently wants to be a No. 1 and won't stay in Paris after his loan spell with Eintracht Frankfurt ended, but Porto are also keeping tabs on Geronimo Rulli (Real Sociedad) and Tomas Koubek (Rennes) as they look to replace Iker Casillas after he suffered a heart attack a month ago.
10.47 BST: Dalian Yifang are set to complete a move for West Brom striker Salomon Rondon, reuniting him with former boss Rafa Benitez, sources have told ESPN.
Rondon was on loan at Newcastle last season and the club were reportedly ready to pay his £16.5m release clause before Benitez's contract ran out and he left. So Rondon will now head to China and sign a three year deal to join up with Benitez again.
Ayoze Perez and Joselu have already left Newcastle this season, meaning the Magpies are in dire need of attacking players.
10.31 BST: Inter Milan will return with a new bid of £60m plus add-ons for Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku, a source has told ESPN FC.
Lukaku is a prime transfer target for new Inter boss Antonio Conte, who had previously tried to sign the Belgium international while manager of Chelsea in 2017.
Inter's opening offer of a two-year loan worth €10m with obligation to then sign him for €60m was rejected, with United looking for £80m. And a source has told ESPN FC that Inter will test United's nerve again by returning with a £60m offer to sign the 26-year-old outright, with potential bonuses on top.
10.14 BST: Kicker reports that RB Leipzig are trying to lower Christopher Nkunku's €20m price before signing him from PSG.
However, L'Equipe says that the clubs have agreed a €13m fee, with €2m in bonuses, and that Nkunku is just a step away from joining the German club.
09.52 BST: Young midfielder Ethan Ampadu has not travelled with Chelsea for their preseason tour of Japan and manager Frank Lampard has revealed why.
"Ethan is not here as we're looking at the possibility of him going on loan for the season," said Lampard. "I tried to sign Ethan on loan at Derby last year, so I'm a big fan, but with the minutes he played last year, I have to think of the bigger picture and the interests of Ethan and of Chelsea.
"The idea that he could play a lot of games somewhere is good for him and we haven't brought him here while that is up in the air."
09.35 BST: Eintracht Frankfurt striker Sebastien Haller is set to join West Ham for around £36m. Eintracht tweeted that an agreement had been made and the player will undergo a medical in London.
West Ham need to replace Lucas Perez, Andy Carroll and Marko Arnautovic, who have all left the club this summer and the 25-year-old scored 15 times and provided nine assists in 29 appearances in the Bundesliga last season.
09.26 BST: At one point he was considered the 'new Zidane' -- probably because his dad was the 'old Zidane' -- but Zinedine's son Enzo has completed his move to Portuguese side Desportivo das Aves from Swiss second division team Lausanne.
09.07 BST: Argentinian forward Dario Benedetto has reached an agreement with Olympique Marseille, according to his agent. The only thing missing is for Benedetto's parent club Boca Juniors to approve the transfer for the player to join the Ligue 1 side.
"I can only speak on behalf of the player and we have reached an agreement with Olympique Marseille," Benedetto's agent Christian Bragarnik told Fox Sports Argentina. "Right now Boca and Olympique are negotiating."
Benedetto is tied to Boca until 2021 and has a $21m release clause but Marseille have made a lower offer which Boca are evaluating.
"There's nothing signed, just a verbal agreement but the clubs have to agree," Bragarnik said. "He wants to prioritise and join an important European club and this is one of them. Boca has to agree and we hope it will get done."
08.50 BST: Norwich City are back in the big time and they have signed defender Sam Byram from West Ham for around £750,000.
08.45 BST: ICYMI - Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar reaffirmed his desire to leave the club in a short meeting with sporting director Leonardo, sources told ESPN FC.
The meeting occurred after the Brazil international reported for preseason training on Monday, one week after he was expected back in the French capital.
As indicated through his father last week, Neymar returned to the French champions' Camp des Loges training centre after fulfilling his commitments back in his homeland, with Leonardo reminding the player of PSG's disappointment at his tardiness and consequent stance.
Neymar and Leonardo have spoken multiple times over the telephone since the latter's return as sporting director earlier this month, and the player's father has also told the PSG exec that his son wants out, but ESPN FC sources say that Monday marked the first time that such a talk has happened face to face.
08.22 BST: The impact of 41-year-old Gianluigi Buffon's return to Juventus has been felt as the club's No. 2 goalkeeper Mattia Perin is set to join Benfica, say Tuttosport.
08.00 BST: Sevilla sporting director Monchi says the club are keen to hold onto Wissam Ben Yedder but expects offers to arrive for the French forward.
Ben Yedder has attracted the attention of top European clubs, including Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona, after scoring 30 goals and setting up 11 more in 54 games in all competitions for Sevilla in the 2018-19 campaign.
The 28-year-old has a €40m release clause and recently expressed his wish to leave Sevilla as he searches for bigger challenges in his career. However, Monchi indicated Ben Yedder would only leave if his release clause is paid.
"Offers will arrive and we are always prepared to listen to them even though we want Wissem to continue," Monchi told Onda Cero radio.
PAPER TALK (by Richard Edwards)
Bale going back to Tottenham?
It seems he is no longer wanted at Real Madrid and Marca report on their front page that Tottenham are willing to pay up to €60m to bring Gareth Bale back to the club this summer.
According to the publication, Spurs are the only option Bale has to leave the Bernabeu stadium this summer. He is currently with Madrid in Montreal for their preseason training camp but is widely reported to be among the players expected to leave before the end of the transfer window, having been considered surplus to requirements following the return of Zinedine Zidane as coach.
Marca claim that Spurs, who sold Bale to Madrid for €100m in 2013, can only afford to pay half of the wages the Wales international currently gets at Madrid. But the Spanish giants have no intention to sell Bale on the cheap and reportedly want at least €85m to sell.
With Bale reportedly earning £300,000-a-week, his wages are considered a stumbling block for many clubs, while Marca claim Madrid would first need to negotiate a deal with the 30-year-old to pay out his contract and ease his departure. Tottenham wished him a happy birthday today, so perhaps that will help move things along..
Could the chase for De Ligt be over?
Sky in Italy is claiming that Juventus have finally agreed a deal with Ajax to bring Matthijs de Ligt to Serie A -- one worth a whopping £67.5 million. They claim that the 20-year-old will arrive in Turin on Tuesday night, before undergoing a medical the following day.
All of which means the red carpet can finally be rolled out for him by midweek. And we can all get on with our lives.
The chase for de Ligt has been a lengthy one but his agent, Mino Raiola, is believed to put his seal on personal terms in a contract that will span five years. That contract is said to be worth a reported £10.8m-a-year plus bonuses.
Nacho going nowhere
At least some players are showing a bit of loyalty -- one of English football's least visible commodities -- with Spanish full-back Nacho Monreal insisting he has no plans to leave Arsenal, despite the club's ongoing interest in bringing Celtic star, Kieran Tierney, to the Emirates.
That's according to the Sun, which reports that Unai Emery's pursuit of the Celtic star hasn't persuaded Monreal that he should look elsewhere for first team football. Arsenal have already had a bid of £15m for Tierney turned down, with the Scottish serial champions holding out for a flat £25m fee that they want paid outright.
No add-ons in other words, even though that's exactly what Monreal might look like when the seasons rolls around in August.
"I belong at Arsenal," he said. "I have a contract and my idea is to continue playing for them. I am not worried about the size of the squad." Instead, he's welcoming the additions. "...I know the club is looking 100 percent for players and I am sure they will come."
Roma angling for Alderweireld
Roma sporting director Gianluca Petrachi said that the club has an interest in Tottenham Hotspur's Toby Alderweireld but are hoping not to pay a release clause for the Belgium international.
As quoted by Football Italia, Petrachi confirmed that Franco Baldini -- who worked in the front offices of both Roma and Spurs -- is serving as a consultant in London and assisting in a possible deal for Alderweireld.
"I realise there is a release clause for Alderweireld, but Baldini has a strong rapport with Spurs directors, he worked there for many years and can support Roma in attracting Alderweireld to Serie A," Petrachi said.
Petrachi emphasised that Baldini is not negotiating on Roma's behalf but said "in the specific case of Alderweireld [he can] help us save a bit of money. We'd be happy to sign him without paying the release clause."
Tap-ins
- An injury to Brahim Diaz may have thrown a possible loan from parent club Real Madrid into doubt, according to Marca. He suffered a muscle injury to his bicep during the club's training camp in Montreal and is now likely to be out for four to five weeks. He had initially been identified as a potential loanee by Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane but his absence in the run-up to the start of the La Liga season could put any temporary switch in doubt.
