TOP STORY: Haaland wants Man United move

Every man and his dog seems to want a piece of Salzburg's Erling Haaland at the moment, but the Daily Star now reports that the striker has made it clear he wants to join Manchester United.

The teenage sensation lit up this season's Champions League group stage, scoring eight goals in six appearances -- sending scouts across Europe scrambling in the process. Sources have told ESPN that Man United are ready to make a formal offer for the 19-year-old in January, while Salzburg's sister club RB Leipzig have a "good feeling" about Haaland after meeting with the striker and his representatives on Wednesday.

On Friday it was the turn of Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to meet with his fellow Norwegian, who has also met with Borussia Dortmund, and the player said Old Trafford is his first choice.

There is bound to be a scramble this month, especially with reports that he is available for £20m January.

And he has a new suitor, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Italian outlet reports that Juventus have put forward a contract believed to be worth around €3 million per season in wages for the Norway international.

LIVE BLOG

21.30 GMT: MLS regular season champions LAFC have continuing their Uruguayan connection by supposedly signing Under-23 player Francisco Ginella, according to Urugol. The player would make the move to Los Angeles from Montevideo Wanderers on a four-year, $2.5 million deal, where he could link up with compatriots Brian Rodiguez and Diego Rossi.

20.10 GMT: We'll keep the Man United theme rolling here today, with the Daily Star reporting that the club is monitoring the situation of Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic. The 21-year-old only arrived from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer, but he has struggled to make his mark under Zinedine Zidane and the Star suggests the Real hierarchy are already discussing selling the player next summer.

18.56 GMT: Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has done little to quash rumours that the club are interested in signing Erling Haaland in January.

United were frustrated in a 1-1 draw against Everton and after the match, Solskjaer refused to deny reports.

"He knows what he wants to do and knows what he is going to do," he told a news conference. "I don't have to offer any advice to other teams' players."

17.47 GMT: France head coach Didier Deschamps has urged striker Olivier Giroud to leave Chelsea.

Giroud has found himself behind Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and his national team boss has suggested he needs a change.

"Giroud, like others, may have to move," Deschamps said. "His situation at Chelsea hasn't changed in two months. It would be better for him, of course, to go to a club where he would get more playing time.

"If he can't get it at Chelsea, the idea is to get it elsewhere. It's his decision. I don't know what offers he has, where it might be possible for him to get more playing time."

16.01 GMT: The Sunday Express reports that Barcelona are looking to bring Pep Guardiola back to the club next season. The Manchester City boss recently denied there was a release clause in his contract but the newspaper claims the Spanish champions are monitoring the situation closely.

14.43 GMT: Chelsea are planning to sign Brighton defender Ben White, according to the Sun. The report claims Frank Lampard's scouts are impressed with the 22-year-old who is enjoying a successful spell on loan at Leeds United. Chelsea can now make signings in January after their transfer ban was lifted and after a recent dip in form, they will be linked with a number of players.

13.22 GMT: It should come as no surprise that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been linked with a return to Italy. But the Swede has been offered a deal to sign for Monza who are ply their trade in the third tier of Italian football.

The club's CEO Adriano Galliani and owner Silvio Berlusconi worked with the striker at AC Milan and they are keen for a reunion next season.

"After Berlusconi gave me a mandate, I made the offer to [Ibrahimovic's agent] Mino Raiola," Galliani told Corriere della Sera.

"He suggested I talk about it directly with Zlatan, who I speak with every night."

Galliani told the striker: "Come to us, stay six months in Serie C. Then next year we go up to Serie B and in two seasons we are in Serie A."

He is still waiting for a reply.

12.01 GMT: Yet more Manchester United transfer talk now, with the Red Devils being linked with a double swoop for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez and Paris St-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes. The Daily Mirror reckons Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could splash out £120m to land the duo.

11.09 GMT: The day wouldn't end in a "y" if we didn't have a Jadon Sancho transfer rumour. Today, the random club name generator falls back on Manchester City. The Sun on Sunday says that City, who sold Sancho to Borussia Dortmund, are set rival Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea for his signature in the summer.

10.14 GMT: Manchester City are being linked with a move for Ibrahim Said, the Nigeria international who was one of the stars of the Under-17 World Cup. He is currently attached to the Dabo Babes Academy in Kano, Nigeria and has attracted interest from clubs in Belgium, England, Netherlands and Sweden.

09.30 GMT: The Sunday Express claims that Barcelona are closely monitoring the position of Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, if he decides to walk away from the Etihad at the end of the season.

PAPER ROUND: Dybala set to stay at Juve

Juventus forward Paulo Dybala looks set to stay at the club following a breakthrough in recent contract negotiations, Calciomercato reports.

Just a matter of months ago it seemed like the Argentina international was destined to leave the Italian giants after falling out favour in Turin. It was recently confirmed that negotiations had begun between both parties over his future, but it wasn't quite clear as to whether or not anything would come from it. It seems that Dybala will be offered a new deal.

Chelsea set Alonso price tag at €30m

Premier League side Chelsea have put a €30m price-tag on left-back Marcos Alonso, Tuttosport reports.

The defender has been heavily linked with a move away from the Blues over the course of the last few weeks, with Inter Milan leading the race for his signature. The Italian side -- led by Alonso's former boss Antonio Conte -- wanted a deal that was structured slightly differently, most likely a loan with an option to buy, which could create a bump in the road.

Alonso has lost his place in Frank Lampard's starting XI at Stamford Bridge this season, leading to him looking into his options.

Tap-ins

- Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic is in no hurry to make a decision regarding his future, Calciomercato reports. The popular Croatia international has been linked to a number of different potential moves across the last few months from Manchester United, to Qatar, to China, to Major League Soccer and beyond. AC Milan are the latest club to throw their name into the hat but, for now, Mandzukic is playing coy.

- Tuttomercatoweb is reporting that Manchester United have made contact with the representatives of Napoli star Dries Mertens over a potential transfer. The veteran has enjoyed a long and successful career in Italian football, but now it appears as if his future lies elsewhere as a direct result of the ongoing turmoil at the club.
