TOP STORY: Buffon could leave Juve again for Napoli, Porto
Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon may set to leave the club again with Serie A rivals Napoli among those interested in signing the goalkeeper, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 43-year-old has only made 10 appearances for Juve this term, five of which have come in league, as Wojciech Szczesny continues to thrive in the No. 1 position.
The veteran Italian may be willing to remain as a reserve, but could also depart after his deal comes to an end in the summer.
The first option could Napoli, who will have a space to fill between the sticks if David Ospina completes a proposed move to Atalanta. The second is FC Porto, the club that Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas saw out his own career at before retiring in 2020.
Lille is also mentioned as a potential destination for Buffon, although any move would likely hinge on 25-year-old Mike Maignan leaving, with AC Milan said to be interested in the Frenchman.
Buffon has already left Juventus once, joining Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer in 2019, but he could eye one more challenge in an effort to get more regular game time before hanging up his gloves.

21.22 BST: Club Brugge reportedly have their eyes on Tottenham and Belgium centre-back Toby Alderweireld, according to Dutch magazine Voetbal 24.
Alderweireld, who has a contract with Spurs through 2023, is also reportedly in the crosshairs of fellow Belgian side Antwerp. Now 32, Alderweireld remains a key player for Spurs but has long stated his desire to finish his career in Belgium.
Club Brugge brought fellow Belgium national teamer Simon Mignolet home in 2019 and could be ready to pay up to ensure they win the race for Alderweireld.
20.31 BST: Could Daniel Sturridge resurrect his career in the United States?
The Mirror understands that the ex-England and Liverpool star is currently at the centre of a transfer tug-of-war between David Beckham's Inter Miami CF and Wayne Rooney's former club D.C. United. Sturridge, 31, last played in Turkey for Trabzonspor, where he scored seven goals in 16 games before having his contract cancelled after breaching betting rules.
Once a 21-goal scorer in the Premier League with Liverpool, Sturridge has won the Champions League twice, the FA Cup twice and the Premier League. Sturridge would be just the latest Englishman to join Inter Miami, with Ryan Shawcross and Kieran Gibbs having agreed to join Beckham's exciting MLS project earlier this summer.
19.40 BST: Despite an impressive season with Atlanta, Juve will not be recalling defender Cristian Romero this summer, according to Calciomercato.
The rugged Argentine, 22, has another year remaining on his two-year loan spell, and in all likelihood will never play for the Old Lady, with Atalanta holding a €20 million purchase option.
18.56 BST: After Sergio Aguero revealed on Monday that this season would be his last at Manchester City, there was some rumbling that he could land at Barcelona alongside Argentina teammate Lionel Messi next.
Sport claims that despite initially considering the prolific forward, Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has ruled out signing Aguero. The report goes on to say that Koeman remains focussed on signing former Dutch charge Memphis Depay, who he believes is better suited to Barcelona's system. At age 27, the Lyon forward would also represent a more long-term approach to the 32-year-old Aguero.
18.08 BST: Leicester City are one of the clubs tracking the 'Next Upamecano', according to Foot Mercato.
The outlet lists Leicester, Arsenal and French side Strasbourg as admirers of Valenciennes defender Ismaël Doukouré. The highly-rated 17-year-old has impressed both in terms of winning duels and with his quality on the ball, leading to comparison to RB Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano who also came through the pipeline at Valenciennes.
17.33 BST: NYCFC are reportedly in talks to acquire Fortuna Dusseldorf and USMNT midfielder Alfredo Morales, our Jeff Carlisle can confirm.
The 30-year-old, who has 16 caps for the U.S., has spent his entire career in Germany with Hertha Berlin, Ingolstadt and finally, Fortuna Dusseldorf for the last three seasons. German outlet Bild was first to have the news, noting that Morales has been held out of training while talks continue.
Morales would join a crowded NYCFC midfield that already features James Sands and Keaton Parks in the No. 6 and No. 8 roles.
17.00 BST: Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says that Tottenham striker Harry Kane might be able to achieve his ambitions of winning trophies without leaving the north London club.
"Tottenham are in a position where they can be ambitious and we should not maybe judge only today's situation," Wenger told beIN Sports. "Tottenham was top of the league in December. There were a few times when they were top of the league when I was still at Arsenal.
"He is the only one who can assess the situation. A player like that is always solicited by other clubs and always has to assess his situation.
"He was until now a real top leader at Tottenham. He's a top leader in the English national team. I respect highly his commitment and his quality and what I like today is he could play basically as a No. 10 because the quality of his assists and the speed of his vision and the execution of his speed on long balls is exceptional."
16.23 BST: Manchester United are facing a choice between Dean Henderson and David de Gea as the club's No. 1, says the Daily Telegraph.
After giving both a chance to impress, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer "is expected to stick with one goalkeeper rather than regularly change for the business end of the season."
Henderson and De Gea have both been linked with moves this summer as the uncertainty over their futures continues. played in six games before joining up with England for the international break, with De Gea granted time to return to Spain for the birth of his first child and requiring time to quarantine on his return.
Henderson signed a new contract last summer, while De Gea's is worth around £375,000-a-week and has another two seasons to run with the option of another year.
15.55 BST: Anderlecht midfielder Marco Kana is attracting interest from AC Milan and Southampton, says Voetbalkrant.
Kana, 18, has been linked with a move for some time and Anderlecht may move on some of their young talent as 21-year-old midfielder Sambi Lokonga as also been scouted.
Milan landed midfielder Alexis Saelemaekers from Anderlecht last summer so they already have a pathway to Belgium set up.
15.00 BST: Dortmund want €180m for Erling Haaland this summer, before his €75m release clause kicks in for 2022.
14.22 BST: Sergio Aguero is considering interest from Juventus, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain after ruling out a return to club football in Argentina following confirmation of his exit from Manchester City this summer, sources have told ESPN's Mark Ogden.
The 32-year-old, who is the highest-scoring non-Englishman in Premier League history with 181 goals, will leave the Etihad at the end of the season after City confirmed on Monday that he would not be offered a new contract to replace his existing deal, which expires on June 30.
Aguero had previously said that his ambition, at the end of his stay at City, was to return to Argentina to play for boyhood club Independiente.
But sources have told ESPN that Aguero believes he can still perform at the top level in Europe for at least two more seasons and the forward is now ready to take advantage of his free agent status this summer to secure a move to one of the game's top clubs.
14.03 BST: Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho wants to sign Real Madrid youngster Miguel Gutierrez, says Defensa Central, and even tracked him when manager at Man United.
Gutierrez, 19, has been promoted to the Castilla from the U19s this season and his performances have attracted attention.
The left-back was a part of the Spain side that won the U19 European Championship in 2019 and became the first player born in the 21st Century from the Real Madrid academy to make his first team debut when he came on Fenerbahce at the Allianz Arena in the Audi Cup that same year.
Real Madrid signed Gutierrez in 2011 and his contract expires in 2024.
13.20 BST: Bild reports that Manchester United, Tottenham and Liverpool are keen on RB Leipzig captain Marcel Sabitzer.
Sabitzer, 27, has caught the eye with his performances in the Bundesliga and could move in the summer.
The Austria international is rated at around €40m and has scored 50 goals in 219 games since signing in 2014.
12.41 BST: Sergio Aguero's departure from Manchester City looks set to kickstart a "derby" between City and Manchester United for the signature of Europe's hottest striking talent: Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland.
The 20-year-old Haaland, widely reported to be City's No. 1 choice, was close to joining local rivals Manchester United last January before moving to Dortmund. United remain firmly interested in signing the prolific forward who worked under their Norwegian manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as an emerging talent with Molde.
Last year he was available for just €20m based on a buyout clause in his deal with FC Salzburg, and given Solskjaer's relationship with Haaland, United were confident of signing him a bargain price. But Haaland's agent Mino Raiola, who is also Paul Pogba's representative, has had a turbulent relationship with the Old Trafford hierarchy, whom he has publicly criticised.
The forward opted to join Dortmund, but Raiola suggested on Tuesday that may have been a mistake.
"With Haaland, everybody was wrong. He did things much quicker than everybody imagined," the agent told The Athletic. "Haaland is in front of his own development. He is ahead of his own schedule. Maybe I was too careful when I said, 'Oh no, let's move to Dortmund instead of I-don't-know-where.'
"I'm 100% convinced and everybody's convinced -- (He] can move to any club, wherever he wants, already on this level. And he could have done that last year."
12.15 BST: RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate is edging closer to a move to Liverpool with the 2019-20 Premier League champions ready to pay his €41.5m release clause, sources have told ESPN's Julien Laurens.
Liverpool have struggled defensively this season as injuries to Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip have reduced their options in the area.
Sources have told ESPN that Liverpool's sporting director Michael Edwards has been monitoring Konate for years but that communication between the two clubs has increased since they met in the last round of the Champions League.
A Liverpool scout was watching Konate as early as January 2017 when made his senior debut for Sochaux in the French League Cup against AS Monaco.
11.33 BST: The Daily Star reports that Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on Manchester City youngster Liam Delap.
Delap, 18, is the son of former Stoke City star Rory Delap and has been likened in style to Dortmund sensation Erling Haaland. Indeed, the striker has scored 20 goals in 15 games in Premier League 2 this season and netted on his senior debut against Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup.
A Derby academy prospect, Delap moved to City in 2019 and is reportedly on the verge of a breakthrough into the first team.
Sergio Aguero is departing this summer on a free transfer, so Delay may get a chance. But Madrid are weighing a move for a player whose deal expires in 2023.
10.36 BST: The Athletic has a wide-ranging interview with superagents Mino Raiola and Jonathan Barnett.
Between them they represent the likes of Gareth Bale, Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eduardo Camavinga, Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish and Ibrahima Konate.
Here's a snippet of some of what they had to say.
Raiola: "With Mr [Alex] Ferguson or [Pep] Guardiola, I have this problem -- and I think that it is changing now -- that [they believe] we should submit to them because 'otherwise, tomorrow, you don't do a player with Manchester United'. I don't give a f--- if I never do another player with Manchester United. I'm not in their hands. I'm independent. We have only one party that we take care of: our players. And as long as our players like us, you do what you have to do."
Barnett: "Camavinga can play next year in the Premier League. He is that good. Whether he will or not, I don't know. His background has been tough if you know what he went through as a refugee and the burning of his home [in Rennes]. But his character is amazingly strong. He is not your average 18-year-old. Playing in front of 100,000 people is not going to scare him. He's a lovely boy and I think he's going to be a superstar."
09.55 BST: Sergio Aguero is leaving Man City, but will he move to join up with Lionel Messi at Barcelona?
09.14 BST: Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah said he could "maybe one day" play in Spain, although he added "it's not up to me" to decide when he leaves the Anfield club.
Salah -- whose contract at Liverpool expires in June 2023 -- was talking to Spanish newspaper Marca ahead of the Champions League quarterfinal first leg with Real Madrid next week.
"I hope I can play football for many, many years," he said, when asked if he'd like to try La Liga after featuring in the Premier League and Serie A. "Why not? You never know what's going to happen in the future, so maybe one day, yes."
Asked whether his four-year stint at Anfield was coming to an end, Salah added: "It's not up to me. Let's see what will happen, but I prefer not to talk about it now."
08.48 BST: Boca Juniors striker Ramon Abila has travelled to the United States ahead of his loan move to Minnesota United. Although the deal has yet to be finalised, the Argentinian player left Buenos Aires on Monday evening as the next available flight would have been in a week's time.
Abila, 31, is expected to join the MLS club for free until the end of the year. Boca have reportedly added an obligation to purchase of $4m in the deal with Minnesota United.
He has scored 36 goals in 83 appearances for Boca, 48 as a starter, since arriving in 2018.
08.30 BST: Spain U21 star Gonzalo Villar says he has no intention of leaving Roma any time soon.
The 23-year-old midfielder is a target of Atletico Madrid, according to La Razon. He joined Roma in Jan. 2020 from Elche and has a contract until June 2024.
"Roma gave me an opportunity when no one else would," Villar said. "I had no projects presented to me in Spain like the one that Roma showed me, perhaps I wasn't valued. I don't know if it's true or not what they say about Atletico Madrid's interests but right now I'm very happy at Roma."
Villar has made 36 appearances for the Giallorossi this season and is on international duty with Spain's U21 side.
PAPER GOSSIP
- The Mirror states that Liverpool are keeping tabs on a trio of defenders, including Brighton's Ben White, Marseille's Duje Caleta-Can and Leicester City's Caglar Soyuncu. Sources have previously told ESPN that the Reds are nearing a deal to sign RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate for €41.5m.
- Napoli see Feyenoord centre-back Marcos Senesi as a possible replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport. There has been interest in the Senegal international from clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United. Napoli have already made contact with Senesi, with the 23-year-old Argentine keen to play in the city so heavily associated with Diego Maradona. The Naples side are also reportedly hoping to sign Mattia Zaccagni from Hellas Verona.
- AC Milan have prepared a five-man shortlist of strikers to aim for during the summer transfer window, according to Calciomercato. The list is reported to consist of Fiorentina's Dusan Vlahovic, Torino's Andrea Belotti, PSV Eindhoven's Donyell Malen, Myron Boadu of AZ Alkmaar and Celtic star Odsonne Edouard.
- Barcelona are monitoring 20-year-old Brazilian centre-back Natan, who is on loan at Red Bull Bragantino from Flamengo, reports Sport. Bragantino have made a deal so they obtain half of the defender's rights once he's played 20 games for them, while Flamengo have assigned him a €70m release clause.
- Rangers will demand at least £6m for 27-year-old centre-back Filip Helander in the summer, having signed him from Bologna for £3.5m plus add-ons in 2019, as has been reported by Football Insider. This comes with Premier League clubs Leicester City and Aston Villa both showing an interest in the Sweden international.
