The summer transfer window is closed for the top leagues in Europe! After a summer full of international football, countless clubs waited until the last minute to pull off their transfers. See all the major deals here and check out how we graded the biggest signings. But just because the window is shut until January, that doesn't mean the rumours won't keep coming.

Manchester United completed the €15m signing of Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus but otherwise it was a pretty quiet Deadline Day for them.
United had hoped to land a right-back to compete with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Sport1 says they saw a €21m bid for Atletico Madrid's Kieran Trippier rejected, with LaLiga's champions holding out for his €40m release clause.
As a result, United's Portuguese right-back Diogo Dalot was blocked from making a loan move to Borussia Dortmund.
United also stopped midfielder Donny van de Beek from finalising a loan move to Everton, Another United midfielder who could have moved was Jesse Lingard but West Ham never made a bid as, according to TalkSPORT, they weren't willing to match the £25m asking price. While L'Equipe reports that Anthony Martial turned down a move to Lyon on Deadline Day too. The 25-year-old began his career at Lyon but wasn't keen to return to Ligue 1.

21.57 BST: Juventus are working on a new contract for Paulo Dybala, according to Calciomercato. It is reported that the Old Lady are desperate to hold onto the Argentina star after being unable to convince Cristiano Ronaldo to stay in Turin. The 27-year-old has a single year left on his deal, and despite attempts over the summer to renew, is yet to agree on terms that would see him stay at the Allianz Stadium beyond the summer of 2022. The Serie A side are expected to offer the forward a new five-year contract that would see Dybala earn a base salary of €7m per season.
21.24 BST: Genoa are considering a move for Diego Perotti, who was released by Fenerbahce on Wednesday. Gianluca Di Marzio writes that the Serie A club are interested in bringing the 33-year-old back after he last featured for Il Grifone in 2016. The attacker's status as a free agent could see a number of clubs make late moves after the former AS Roma star scored three times in just two starts for Fenerbahce. While interest from Genoa is reported to be genuine, manager Davide Ballardini may have to work to make room for Perotti with the squad currently bloated in a number of positions.
20.51 BST: Middlesbrough have confirmed that full-back Djed Spence has joined Nottingham Forest on loan until the end of the season. Spence, 21, is looking to garner more first-team experience after starting 22 games in the Championship last season. The defender's performances saw his name linked with Premier League clubs over the summer, including Leicester City, who were rumoured to be interested in a Deadline Day move for the former Fulham prospect.
20.18 BST: Real Madrid star Mariano is reported to have rejected a Deadline Day loan move to Rayo Vallecano. Mundo Deportivo writes that the player's agent and father tried to convince the forward to go through with the loan move that Real Madrid had accepted, but neither could persuade the striker to leave the Spanish capital. The 28-year-old has two years left on his deal despite failing to impress previous manager Zinedine Zidane, and it looks as though he has not managed to find a way into Carlo Ancelotti's plans for the 2021-22 campaign.
19.45 BST: Juventus could set their sights on Leandro Paredes as an alternative to Miralem Pjanic. Calciomercato reports that Pjanic's estimated €8m salary proved to be a stumbling block in the negotiations between the Old Lady and Barcelona, which has now seen the Serie A side turn their attention to the Paris Saint-Germain star as a potential alternative. The 27-year-old featured 21 times in the Ligue 1 last season, but has only appeared as a substitute this season on his return to a PSG side that has been heavily strengthened over the summer transfer window.
19.12 BST: Fenerbahce president Ali Koc has revealed that Sead Kolasinac's proposed move to the club from Arsenal fell through after being unable to agree on personal terms. Speaking to football.london, he said: "If I remember correctly, they asked for a three-year contract and €3m per year with a €3m signing-on fee. We didn't" The Gunners were looking to move the 28-year-old on throughout the summer, but it now looks as though he will remain as part of Mikel Arteta's side until the transfer window reopens in January.
18.39 BST: David Luiz's new team could be decided soon with a number of clubs reported to be making offers to the out-of-contract defender. Gazzetta dello Sport writes that the 34-year-old has offers from both Benfica and Flamengo, but there is also interest from Maurizio Sarri, who is keen on bringing the centre-back to Lazio. The former Chelsea star became a free agent in the summer after his contract expired with Arsenal following a two-year spell at the club.
18.06 BST: Dusan Vlahovic was almost certain to leave Fiorentina before the end of the transfer window, with reported interest from both West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur, but now both clubs will face competition for the Serbia international should they wish to get a deal over the line at the next opportunity. Tuttosport writes that Juventus have set their sights on the Viola star, and initially plan to make their move next summer. The 21-year-old enjoyed a breakout season in the last Serie A campaign, scoring 21 times from 34 starts.
17.33 BST: A number of clubs in the Premier League remain interested in Brighton & Hove Albion's Yves Bissouma. The Metro writes that Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are all still keen on tempting the 25-year-old away from the Amex stadium. The Mali international was on the radar of a number of clubs throughout the summer transfer window, but it appears that teams could resurface in January for the Seagulls midfielder who has played every minute in the league this season.
17.00 BST: Man United are still hopeful of landing Dortmund striker Erling Haaland next summer.
16.03 BST: Lokomotiv Moscow are set to sign Chelsea forward Tino Anjorin on loan.
Anjorin, 19, was handed his Premier League debut in 2020 but hasn't managed to make the breakthrough into the first-team.
The Athletic reports that "the deal includes a £17m option to buy the 19-year-old in January. Chelsea have negotiated a buy-back clause worth £34m that can be activated in the future if Lokomotiv make the loan move permanent."
15.21 BST: Mundo Deportivo says that Barcelona want to sign winger Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig next summer.
The report claims that the club made an offer of €58m for Olmo on Deadline Day, which is farcical given their financial situation, but it was rejected anyway as Leipzig held out for €75m.
The 23-year-old Spain international was trained in La Masia and Barcelona are keen to add more players like that to the squad. But clearly they have a few financial hurdles to clear first.
14.29 BST: Lyon have completed the free transfer signing of former Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng.
"I received other proposals but I quickly made up my mind," he told a news conference. "I thank the people who made sure that I came here. I have known the club for a long time, I have seen them play in the Champions League.
"I want to give everything for this team. I know they are young and talented. I am convinced I made a good choice. I want to help the young players find the road to success."
"I haven't played since May but I have done everything to stay in shape. I want to regain my best level as soon as possible and be at 100% to be able to help the team."
14.00 BST: Transfer Deadline Day: three words that summon images of chaos; frantic attempts to arrange paperwork, players and managers desperately hoping for a deal to go through, and fans waiting for news of that last-minute confirmation or a hitch that sees their club miss out on a crucial signing.
It is all about drama, and even though most big moves go through pretty smoothly -- see Lionel Messi to Paris Saint-Germain and Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United -- there's always a chance of very, very late fireworks. 13.40 BST: Cristiano Ronaldo said former manager Sir Alex Ferguson was the "main key" in his return to Manchester United.
United announced they had agreed a deal with Ronaldo on Friday despite the Portugal international having been close to finalising a move to Manchester City, according to ESPN sources.
Sources told ESPN the 36-year-old was persuaded to choose United over City following WhatsApp conversations with former teammates and the deal was made official on Tuesday.
"As everybody knows, since I signed for Manchester [United] at 18, Sir Alex Ferguson was the key," Ronaldo told United's website. "I remember when we played against Manchester when I was at Sporting Lisbon.
"For me, Sir Alex Ferguson is like a father in football for me. He helped me a lot, he taught me many things, and in my opinion of course he had a big role because the relationship that we had, we keep in touch all the time, and he's an unbelievable person. I really like him a lot and he was the main key for me to be in the position that I am, that I signed for Manchester United."
13.32 BST: Saul's move to Chelsea from Atletico Madrid on loan was very low-risk.
12.52 BST: Barcelona's Gerard Pique trolled Real Madrid over their failed Kylian Mbappe transfer.
Last Friday the Madrid-based sports newspaper launched a poll asking which shirt number Mbappe would wear at Real when he completed his transfer to the Bernabeu.
"Fans are wondering which number the Frenchman will don for his new team" the Marca poll declared, before presenting the viable options on offer: No. 19, No. 5, No. 23 or another.
It was mooted that Mbappe might take the No. 19 shirt vacated by Alvaro Odriozola, the No. 5 formerly worn by fellow French icon Zinedine Zidane, the No. 23 jersey in tribute to Michael Jordan (a la David Beckham), or even that he might take another such as the No. 7 or No. 10 off Eden Hazard or Luka Modric respectively. For the record, No. 19 won with 33% of the vote.
Four days and almost 40,000 votes later, Pique waded in on Twitter, riling Real supporters by joking that Mbappe would definitely be wearing the No. 7 shirt this season because he'd be remaining at PSG.
Pique's tweet quickly went viral, but perhaps he should have remembered that those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, as Barca themselves had endured a risible transfer window.
12.09 BST: Goalkeeper Ederson has signed a new five-year contract with Manchester City.
Ederson, 28, is the fifth senior player to agree new terms in 2021, following in the footsteps of Kevin De Bruyne, Fernandinho, John Stones and Ruben Dias.
"This was an easy decision for me," he told mancity.com. "There is nowhere else I'd want to be. To be part of one of the best squads in world football and to compete for trophies year in year out is what every footballer wants, and that is the opportunity you're given at City.
"We have an outstanding manager. Working with him has been one of the great experiences of my career and I am a better player for it. We have achieved so much in the last four years, and I am confident we can continue to bring more success to the Club in the coming seasons."
12.01 BST: Erling Haaland remains Manchester United's priority transfer target next summer, despite the club's financial outlay to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus, sources have told ESPN's Mark Ogden.
Manchester City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in Haaland, who can trigger a release clause in Borussia Dortmund contract at the end of this season which is reportedly set at €75m.
But although the deal to sign Ronaldo was financed outside of United's original summer transfer budget, sources have told ESPN it will not impact on next year's recruitment plans and the ongoing effort to win the race for Haaland.
11.20 BST: Why on earth are Barcelona allowing Antoine Griezmann to move back to Atletico Madrid on loan, then for just €40m next summer?
10.36 BST: Bild reports that Pep Guardiola's Manchester City are in pole position to land Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland next summer.
Haaland, 21, has a €75m release clause which comes into effect in 2022 and every single club in Europe capable of paying that is interested in signing him.
City failed to land Harry Kane this summer, so a decision will have to be made about whether they go back in for him or move for Haaland.
09.32 BST: Harry Kane insists his "conscience is clear" after attempting to force through a move from Tottenham to Manchester City and believes the saga has not damaged his reputation.
The 28-year-old asked to leave Spurs before the start of Euro 2020 in the belief he had a gentleman's agreement with chairman Daniel Levy that he would be allowed to depart if a suitable bid came in. However, Levy's valuation stood in excess of £150m and he proved reluctant to consider parting with Kane, given he has three years remaining on his current £200,000-a-week contract.
City intimated they would be willing to pay around £100m to sign Kane but never made a formal offer approaching Levy's asking price, despite the England captain attempting to break the impasse by reporting back late for pre-season testing earlier this month.
Kane subsequently confirmed he was staying at Spurs "this summer" and despite an earlier frosty reaction when missing Tottenham's opening weekend win against City -- during which supporters pointedly chanted: "Are you watching Harry Kane?" -- he was greeted warmly by fans upon his first start in Sunday's 1-0 Premier League win over Watford.
Asked if the whole episode had tarnished his reputation, Kane told TalkSPORT: "No, I don't think so. I think anyone involved in the football industry knows the ins and outs. I was quite calm with the situation, but when you're in it and you know the truth, then your conscience is clear.
"There's always going to be noise. My whole career I've had ups and downs from when I'm young to where I am, that's just part of the parcel of it. A lot of people that know me will say I'm a professional athlete who's dedicated my life to this game and that's what I'll continue to do. My focus is forward now, the aim has always been to win silverware with Tottenham and it's been that aim every year."
09.05 BST: LaLiga president Javier Tebas has taken a swipe at Paris Saint-Germain after the transfer window closed.
The transfer window ended with PSG keeping Kylian Mbappe despite Real Madrid's attempts to acquire the France star for €200m, even in the midst of financial issues that see them around €900m in debt.
Tebas, who has spoken out against "state clubs" Manchester City and PSG [owned by United Arab Emirates and Qatar] before, says the numbers just don't add up. He wrote on Twitter: "State clubs are so dangerous to football's ecosystem just as the Super League. We were critical with the Super League because it destroys European football and we are just as critical with PSG. Losses Covid+300m; TV revenues in France -40%, and +500m in salaries? Unsustainable."
08.47 BST: Saul Niguez, who signed for Chelsea on loan from Atletico just before the transfer deadline, has explained the reasons for the move.
The Spanish midfielder told Marca: "I was happy in the team [Atletico] as always. The only thing is that I felt I was stuck by not being able to play in my position [central midfield]. My head could not accept my new role of playing in a new position [right-back]. Chelsea promised me that I would train in my position, and we will see when it comes to playing."
On the deal almost not going through, he added: "At 23:57 I was giving a last look at the contract and it had to be reviewed there [London]... I was like [Manchester United's David] De Gea [amid his failed 2015 move to Real Madrid]. I thought 'this is not going through and that's that'. It's been a long afternoon and evening."
Chelsea hold an option to sign Saul next summer for a set fee.
"I want to go there, try this experience and see what happens," he said. "I don't want to think beyond that. I want to go there and find the player I want to be and not the Saul I've seen in the past two years. I was frustrated not to see what I could achieve. For me this has been the most difficult decision of my life."
08.30 BST: Real Madrid made a new offer worth €200m to Paris Saint-Germain for the rights to Kylian Mbappe but received no reply and are now resigned to putting their bid to land the star forward on hold, sources close to the LaLiga club have told ESPN.
The transfer window in Spain and France closed on Tuesday and talks remained deadlocked, with the two clubs unable to find common ground on a fee for the 22-year-old.
However, sources in Paris denied that a new bid had been made Tuesday and confirmed that Mbappe would be staying at PSG this season.

- Juventus are already looking forward to next season's transfers, as has been suggested by Calciomercato. Having been unable to bring in a big-name striker this time around, the Turin giants have their eye on a future move for Fiorentina's Dusan Vlahovic. In different conditions they would have moved for the Serbian this summer, and they're working to ensure he will be with them next term.
- Marseille may have kept hold of Boubacar Kamara for now, but there will still be questions around the Frenchman's future with his current contract coming to an end in 2022. As Foot Mercato have observed, the 21-year-old will not have his future dictated to him. With that in mind, he may open to talks with interested clubs in January when he will be free to discuss a move.
- Tottenham Hotspur confirmed that Serge Aurier has left the club after the Ivory Coast international's contract was mutually terminated. This leaves the right-back free to find a new club at any point now he is a free agent and comes after Spurs signed Emerson Royal from Barcelona.
- The Athletic reports that Tottenham also made a £30m bid to sign Wolves winger Adama Traore, but had it rejected. Wolves were reportedly holding out for £50m.
