The summer transfer window is approaching, and there's plenty of gossip swirling about who's moving where. Transfer Talk brings you all the latest buzz on rumours, comings and goings and, of course, done deals!

TOP STORY: Man United, Liverpool eye move for Danjuma

Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma is being watched by both Manchester United and Liverpool, claims The Daily Mail.

Danjuma, 25, moved to the LaLiga club in August 2021 for a fee of around €25 million from Bournemouth. He has 14 goals and four assists from 29 games this season and starred in the shock Champions League win over Bayern Munich in midweek.

While the Netherlands international has a contract until 2026, he also has a reported release clause of €70m. As a result, a number of European clubs are tracking Danjuma's progress, but United will be favourites if they hire Dutch manager Erik ten Hag as the winger's idol growing up was Cristiano Ronaldo.

21.58 BST: With Mohamed Salah's Liverpool contract coming to an end in the summer of 2023, there has been plenty of talk about the Egypt international's future. Speaking with Sky Sports, he declined to join the public conversation, saying: "What I can say is there are many things people don't know about it.

"I can't be selfish and talk about my situation. We are in the most important period for the team so I have to just talk about the team, focus on what is coming with the team and that is the most important thing. That is all I can say. Hopefully we are going to be more optimistic and see what is going to happen."

21.25 BST: Lazio are determined to sign Alessio Romagnoli when his AC Milan contract ends in the summer, reports Gazzetta dello Sport. The Serie A side has even made an initial contact with the defender's agent, offering a five-year contract worth €3m a season plus add-ons.

20.52 BST: Football Insider reports that Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a move for Peterborough United defender Ronnie Edwards, who has earned plenty of other Premier League interest. Peterborough are braced to receive offers for the England U19 international, who is deemed one of the most exciting young talents in the country.

20.19 BST: Juventus have added Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso to the list of players they are interested in ahead of the transfer window, according to Ekrem Konur. The Blues plan to extend Spaniard's contract, which runs until 2023, by another year.

19.46 BST: Fiorentina are interested in signing Brest centre-back Lilian Brassier, according to Le10 Sport. The 22-year-old has impressed since joining from Stade Rennais last summer, and could leave just one year later despite having two years left on his contract, as the Viola prepare for the potential departure of Nikola Milenkovic.

19.11 BST: Tanguy Ndombele is expected to return to Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season, with Lyon unlikely to pay the £54m option to make his loan spell permanent, reports the Evening Standard. This leaves his future uncertain, as Antonio Conte also doesn't see Ndombele being a part of his plans, with the hope being that Ndombele's performances for Lyon will prompt somebody to move for him in the summer.

18.32 BST: AC Milan are considering a move for Benfica midfielder Julian Weigl in the summer, according to Calciomercato. However, they prefer the profile of somebody like Lille's Renato Sanches, who could act as a direct replacement for pending free agent Franck Kessie, but a potential transfer fee of €40m could prove too much for Milan technical director Paolo Maldini.

17.49 BST: Foot Mercato reports that Eden Hazard is keen to stay at Real Madrid and could even play out the remaining two years on his contract. The Belgian has recently been linked with a move away from Los Blancos, with Arsenal seen as one possible destination, but he is convinced that he can still win over the Madrid supporters.

17.00 BST: Bayern Munich are negotiating with Serge Gnabry's agent regarding a contract extension, reports Fabrizio Romano, with the winger's deal coming to an end in the summer of 2023. They are also working on the final details for the potential signings of Ajax Amsterdam duo Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui.

16.04 BST: Former Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is set to choose between Hull City and Inter Miami for his next move, says AS.

Ozil, 33, is expected to leave Fenerbahce in the coming months after falling out with the Turkish club. He joined in January 2021 on a free transfer from Arsenal after eight years in London.

Hull City, who have a Turkish owner, are in the running to sign him, alongside David Beckham's MLS franchise Inter Miami.

15.25 BST: Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa is on the radar of Arsenal, according to Football Insider.

Konsa, 24, has impressed in recent seasons and has been tipped for a senior England call-up.

Arsenal want another centre-back in the summer, while they are also looking at Villa for midfielder Douglas Luiz and striker Ollie Watkins.

13.47 BST: The Sun says Atletico Madrid are favourites to sign Braga defender David Carmo ahead of several Premier League clubs.

Carmo, 22, was close to a move to Liverpool in January 2021 before the move fell through. The Reds have since signed Ibrahima Konate for around €40m and are unlikely to return for Carmo, with the path clear for Atletico to make their offer.

The Portuguese, who stands 6-foot-5 tall, has a reported release clause of €30m and a contract which expires in 2025.

13.00 BST: The race to buy Chelsea is descending into acrimony and anger, with sources telling ESPN's Mark Ogden that one group attempting to acquire the club from Roman Abramovich believes it is the victim of a dirty tricks campaign by a rival bidder.

Four potential buyers have been shortlisted by Raine Group, the U.S. investment bank hired by Chelsea owner Abramovich to sell the FIFA Club World Cup and Champions League winners. Sources said the bidding process is likely to be resolved within the next 10 days, with the successful group to be identified and put forward for approval by the United Kingdom government.

A consortium led by former Liverpool chairman Sir Martin Broughton, another fronted by Los Angeles Dodgers co-owner Todd Boehly and a bid involving Stephen Pagliuca, the co-owner of Atalanta, have made it through to the final four alongside an attempt by the Ricketts family, the owners of the Chicago Cubs, to buy the Premier League team.

Chelsea supporters have mounted a campaign against the Ricketts bid due to historic Islamophobic emails from family patriarch Joe Ricketts, who is not involved in the bid to take ownership at Stamford Bridge.

But sources familiar with the four-way race to buy Chelsea told ESPN that figures involved with the Ricketts family, who are backed by American billionaire Ken Griffin, believe that the protests against their bid are being encouraged by rivals in the bidding process.

12.08 BST: Tottenham defender Emerson Royal says he is aware of interest from LaLiga champions Atletico Madrid, but is happy to stay at the club.

Emerson, 23, moved to Spurs from Barcelona for around €30m over the summer and has made 36 appearances in all competitions this season.

"Yes, it has come to my attention that Atletico are interested in me," Emerson told Cadena Ser. "But now, I'm in a good moment at Tottenham. I don't know what will happen in the future. I like that other teams are watching my football."

11.37 BST: Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo is set to sign a new contract, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Araujo, 23, has agreed a contract until June 2026, including release clause worth €1 billion, having been linked with moves to Real Madrid, Man United and a host of other top clubs.

Barcelona are also "more than optimistic" on Gavi's extension as the 17-year-old midfielder has yet to pen new terms.

11.05 BST: Who is the best in the world now?

10.19 BST: Barcelona would be keen on Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski if he became available this summer but a deal remains difficult financially at this stage, sources have confirmed to ESPN's Sam Marsden and Moises Llorens.

Barca have made no secret of their desire to sign a new striker ahead of next season. President Joan Laporta had set his sights on Erling Haaland, but there is fierce competition for the Borussia Dortmund forward.

ESPN have previously reported that Manchester City are leading the race to sign Haaland. Sources add that Real Madrid are also better placed than Barca, which has forced the Catalan club to explore other options.

09.45 BST: Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is struggling with his form, but the club want him to stay, says The Sun.

Rashford, 24, has been linked with a move as he has slipped down the pecking order under interim boss Ralf Rangnick and has Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona all interested in signing him.

United have a one-year option to extend Rashford's contract until 2024 so the ball is very much in their court.

09.02 BST: Juan Mata is looking to continue his playing career in Europe when he leaves Manchester United at the end of his contract in the summer but sources told ESPN's Rob Dawson that a return to Spain is not his first choice.

Mata's deal at Old Trafford is set to expire at the end of June and after a season of limited opportunities, the 33-year-old is keen to find regular football.

Sources said he believes he can still make an impact in Europe's top five leagues and while there is interest from clubs in LaLiga, Serie A and Ligue 1, it is understood that a move back to Spain is not a priority -- despite links with both Valencia and Real Oviedo -- and he would like to explore other opportunities.

Sources added there has been interest from both Milan and Internazionale as well as other clubs in Italy although Mata is set to wait until there are formal offers on the table before making a final decision.

08.30 BST: Erling Haaland has dismissed interest from Manchester United when considering his next move over fears they could not match his ambitions on the pitch, sources told ESPN's Rob Dawson.

United are looking for a striker this summer and indicated to Haaland and his representatives earlier this season they would be willing to match any financial offer he received from another club. However, sources told ESPN that intermediaries reported back that the striker would base his decision only on a club's "sporting project" and not where he could earn the most money.

Manchester City and Real Madrid lead the race to sign the Norwegian if he chooses to leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer. Both clubs are regulars in the latter rounds of the Champions League while United have reached the quarterfinals only twice since 2011. United are not guaranteed to qualify for the competition next season, sitting seventh in the Premier League table, three points adrift of the top four.

- Newcastle United are seemingly ahead of Arsenal in the chase for Juventus' Paulo Dybala, according to Corriere dello Sport. The 28-year-old Argentina forward is looking for a new project which places him at centre stage next season, and the No. 10 is hoping he can find solace in the Premier League. Dybala is available on a free transfer at the end of the season, and he's expressed a desire to leave Italy. So far, Newcastle, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have made tentative enquiries, though the Argentine hasn't ruled out a switch to AC Milan. Newcastle could have the upper hand, however, given their ability to offer a bumper contract.

- Villarreal are keen to keep Giovani Lo Celso beyond the end of the season, when his loan spell is set to end, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Spaniards want to open talks with Tottenham about a permanent move, for there's no clause to buy included in the current loan deal. Villarreal boss Unai Emery was keen to complete a deal in January, when Lyon expressed an interest in the 25-year-old. Lo Celso once again impressed, this time in Villarreal's 1-0 win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

- As well as closing in on Ajax Amsterdam's Ryan Gravenberch, Bayern Munich are also set to swoop for his teammate -- and free transfer -- Noussair Mazraoui. This is according to Sport1, who believe that despite Barcelona leading the race for the Morocco right-back for the last few weeks, Bayern are close to pip them to the 24-year-old's signature in a deal that will take him to Germany until 2027. Mazraoui is set to earn €4m a season with the German giants. 

- With sources telling ESPN that Ajax boss Erik ten Haag is close to taking over at Manchester United, the Sun believe his first target will be Wolverhampton Wanderers star Ruben Neves. Ten Haag believes 25-year-old Neves has the right attributes to succeed at Old Trafford, and could compliment his other transfer targets, Spurs' striker Harry Kane and West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice. Wolves boss Bruno Lage, however, is keen to keep Neves at Molineux and says United will need to offer £100m. 

- Nikola Milenkovic is a target for Juventus in the summer, according to Calciomercato. The Serbia midfielder has impressed for Fiorentina this season and has been a target for the Old Lady before. Juve are said to have been in contact with the 24-year-old's agent Fali Ramandani, with Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri keen to add the defender's versatility to his squad. Milenkovic is capable of playing in the centre or on the right side of defence.
