TOP STORY: Hazard key to Real Madrid's Haaland plan
Eden Hazard is keen to stay at Real Madrid but a move to Arsenal may be on the cards, according to Diario Sport.
Hazard has been linked with Arsenal recently, and Real Madrid may need the proceeds from the departure of the former Chelsea forward if they are to have the transfer funds to complete the signing of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund and Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.
Los Blancos have also been linked with Mbappe, who is set to be a free agent when his contract ends on June 30.
While Real Madrid haven't been as prominent in the race for Haaland, links have endured. However, the Norwegian has concerns around fitting into the same team as Karim Benzema and Manchester City remain favourites to make the signing.
Even without paying a fee to PSG for Mbappe, completing both transfers would be huge financially, and Madrid plan on funds raised by moving on Hazard helping to deal with that.

21.04 BST: With Sergej Milinkovic-Savic potentially moving to Juventus this summer, Lazio are identifying replacements for the Serbia midfielder, Corriere dello Sport reports. The two names at the top of the Roman club's list are 22-year-old Vitinha of FC Porto, who could be signed for a transfer fee between €25m and €30m (although they face competition from Bayern Munich), and 24-year-old Maxime Lopez, who would require a transfer fee of more than €30m for Sassuolo to sanction his departure.
20.17 BST: Calciomercato reports that with eyes on Paul Pogba and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Juventus may have little use for midfielder Adrien Rabiot beyond this season. The 27-year-old Paris Saint-Germain academy graduate's sizable wages, however, make it a possibility that the Bianconeri will be unable to find a suitor for the France international this summer before losing him on a free transfer in 2023.
19.30 BST: AS Roma do not intend to offer Nicolo Zaniolo an exorbitant new contract, with money tight, and will accept an offer including a transfer fee of between €50m and €60m for the 22-year-old Italy attacker, according to Tuttosport. Juventus hold longstanding interest in the player, and are not put off by his lengthy injury history.
18.43 BST: Borussia Dortmund midfielder Axel Witsel could move to MLS after his contract with the Bundesliga club expires this summer, and LAFC and the LA Galaxy are interested in the 33-year-old Belgium international, according to Transfermarkt.
17.56 BST: It's going to be a busy summer in the Spanish capital. While Real Madrid's ambitions of signing both Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are well known, Cadena SER details some of the club's higher-profile departures.
Los Blancos will look to find a new home for Eden Hazard, with Arsenal, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund mooted as potential destinations. The latter is said to be the likeliest outcome, with the Belgium international presented the opportunity to play alongside brother Thorgan Hazard.
Elsewhere in the Madrid attack, Carlo Ancelotti's team will be preparing for the departure of Isco, whose contract expires at the end of the season. The report suggests that the 29-year-old Spain playmaker's free transfer to Sevilla is nearly wrapped up.
Finally, right-back Alvaro Odriozola, who's on loan at Fiorentina, will be playing his football outside of Madrid next season, with the Spanish capital club looking to receive a €30m transfer fee for the 26-year-old.
17.07 BST: Calciomercato reports that AC Milan will not loan Tommaso Pobega out again next season after a successful season with Torino.
Pobega, 22, has also had temporary stints with Ternana, Pordenone and Spezia, but is now set to be part of Milan's first-team squad.
The midfielder, capped by Italy up to under-21 level, has been a key player for Torino as a box-to-box player and Milan believe he will be a useful option from the bench.
16.20 BST: Erling Haaland and Aurelien Tchouameni both want to sign for Real Madrid this summer, Diario AS reports, and it will be down to the club to make the next move.
Madrid would have preferred to go for Haaland in 2023 -- rather than looking to strike a deal that could total €350m in transfer fee, salary and commission in the same summer that they expect to land Kylian Mbappe -- but the player is determined to leave Borussia Dortmund this year.
Madrid's decision on Haaland will in turn affect whether they can splash out on Monaco midfielder Tchouameni, rated at €60m, although the club would also rather wait for him, the newspaper says, "running the risk of ending up without Haaland and Tchouameni because they didn't pull the trigger on time."
15.32 BST: Goal reports that Juventus have identified three players they want to sign in the summer window.
The Turin club want a left-back, a strong midfielder and a star to replace Paulo Dybala (who is set to leave on a free transfer).
14.44 BST: Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez joked that he could "forgive Dani Alves anything" after the Brazilian said he would rather spend a lot of money on Kylian Mbappe than Erling Haaland.
Sources have previously told ESPN that Haaland is one of Barca's top targets this summer, although the club also acknowledge they are not leading the race for the Borussia Dortmund striker, with Manchester City and Real Madrid also interested.
However, in an interview with Diario Sport, Alves said: "I would not throw everything at Haaland. Honestly, I wouldn't spend a lot of money on him. On [Paris Saint-Germain's] Mbappe, yes, but Haaland no. I'm playing at sporting director here, but I'd bet on Mbappe first. He seems more complete in every aspect. If you are going to make a huge investment, you have to do it on the best. If it was up to me, I'd bet on Mbappe."
Xavi, who has previously refused to deny meeting with Haaland in Germany, laughed off Alves' comments at the same time as admitting a deal for the Norway striker could be too expensive for Barca.
"The financial situation is difficult so let's see how we can do things," the Barca coach said in a news conference on Saturday. "We're planning for next season, but the financial situation is not easy.
"As for Dani, I can forgive him for anything, whatever he says. Sometimes [the media] complain that there aren't any headlines, but with Dani it's difficult to choose just one. He's a phenomenon, a leader."
14.00 BST: Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno is keeping his options open after losing the No. 1 position to Aaron Ramsdale.
Ramsdale was signed from Sheffield United last summer and initially expected to be understudy to Leno, but he soon established himself as the Gunners' first choice.
Now Leno, 30, has spoken about his future amid links to former club Bayer Leverkusen..
"You can't rule anything out anyway," Leno told SPOX. I'm 30-years-old, so you'd think that, despite the ambition and impatience, you might be a bit more relaxed about such a topic.
"Of course, there are always approaches. But, it's about playing here. That's my first ambition. If the club plans otherwise, they have to approach me. Of course, my agency and I are keeping an eye on the situation."
On the Leverkusen lines he added: "I read that too, but I don't know anything about it. They also said I would definitely want to return to my home country, but that's not true. As I said, we feel completely at home here, even if things aren't going so well for me at the moment."
13.12 BST: Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara is close to choosing to join Atletico Madrid ahead of interest from Bayern Munich and the Premier League, according to Marca.
Kamara, 22, is out of contract this summer and looks like being "the first piece" of Atletico's planning for 2022-23, the newspaper reports, having been "the main objective" of sporting director Andrea Berta for some time.
Atletico were keen to sign Kamara -- who can play as a defensive midfielder or at centre-back -- in January, but Marseille refused to let him go.
12.30 BST: Juan Mata is looking to continue his playing career in Europe when he leaves Manchester United at the end of his contract in the summer, but sources told ESPN that a return to Spain is not his first choice.
Mata's deal at Old Trafford is set to expire at the end of June and after a season of limited opportunities, the 33-year-old is keen to find regular football.
Sources told ESPN's Rob Dawson the player believes he can still make an impact in Europe's top five leagues. Sources added there has been interest from both Milan and Inter Milan, as well as other clubs in Italy, although Mata is set to wait until there are formal offers on the table before making a final decision.
11.48 BST: Real Madrid still "firmly believe" that Kylian Mbappe will join the club this summer, Marca reports, although some club sources admit "the deal isn't completely done" while the player's entourage maintains that he hasn't made a decision on his future.
Mbappe said last weekend that he had "new elements" to consider, amid reports that Paris Saint-Germain had made a latest, improved offer to extend a deal which expires at the end of this season.
According to Marca, Madrid remain confident that the 23-year-old forward will choose to move to Spain, with sources saying club and player have an "almost total understanding" on a sporting level, although a financial agreement hasn't yet been reached.
11.01 BST: Brazil international Richarlison looks likely to be a man in demand in the summer, whether Everton stay in the Premier League or are relegated to the Championship.
Sport Witness reports that Manchester United and Real Madrid have both made enquiries for the 24-year-old but have not yet taken that any further.
Everton are going to have to get transfer fees for star players this summer after recording losses in excess of £100m for the third successive year. Richarlison seems a likely candidate to bring in much-needed funds.
10.18 BST: Newcastle United are the latest club to be linked with Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips, reports The i.
Phillips, 26, has become an England regular over the past two seasons and, along with forward Raphinha, is coveted by a number of Premier League clubs this summer.
He has previously been linked with Manchester United, and now it is reported that Newcastle are considering a move as they look to rebuild their midfield with Premier League survival almost secure after Friday night's 1-0 win over Wolves.
09.30 BST: Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has told Sky Sports he isn't prepared to talk about his future at the moment, with his Liverpool contract having just over a year to run.
Liverpool travel to Manchester City on Sunday in what could be a title decider with the teams just a point apart in the Premier League table.
But speculation over Salah's future refuses to go away. The Egypt international will be 30 in the summer, meaning this will be the last big contract of his career. Liverpool remain confident they will agree terms on an extension, but the player won't be drawn on what is to come.
"I can't be selfish and talk about my situation," Salah said. "We are in the most important period for the team so I have to just talk about the team, focus on what is coming with the team and that is the most important thing.
And the player refused to commit to Liverpool when asked if he was confident a new deal could be agreed.
"I can't say yes, I can't say no but I have said many times before about what I want," he added. "But again, I can't go deep into my contract now because it is a really sensitive situation.
"The team need to win and I can't be just going into the news and just talking about my contract. I just focus with the team, and that is it."
PAPER GOSSIP
- AC Milan have identified Real Madrid's Marco Asensio as their main priority for the right wing, reports Tuttosport, who state that it would take between €25m and €30m to bring in the Spaniard. They could be helped by the fact Los Blancos are wondering whether to offer him a contract past his current one, which ends in 2023. However, there is also Premier League competition and Milan could struggle to match his wage demands.
- Torino's Bremer remains Internazionale's main centre-back option for the summer transfer window, reports Nicolo Schira, who adds that they have already made contact with the Brazilian's agent twice. Inter are currently offering him €2.5m-per-year, while they will also speak to Torino in the coming weeks to reach an agreement, with Il Toro wanting between €25m and €30m.
- Juventus have a draft agreement to sign Raoul Bellanova for between €8m and €9m, reports Calciomercato, though that also depends on Cagliari being able to make his loan move from Bordeaux a permanent one. Presuming the deal does come to fruition, it is also unknown whether Bellanova would go straight into Massimiliano Allegri's squad to fight for a place in the team or initially head out on loan -- perhaps to Cagliari again.
- Ajax Amsterdam and Leeds United are all scouting Fluminense winger Matheus Martins, as reported by Ekrem Konur. So far this season, the 18-year-old has managed two goals and one assist in 10 matches across all competitions.
- Rangers will allow Amad Diallo to return to Manchester United at the first opportunity after being underwhelmed by his performances since he joined on loan in January, according to Football Insider. The Scottish giants will not be attempting to extend his loan or sign him permanently, after he has so far managed just six appearances, scoring once.
