1. Robert Huth (Leicester City)
It was on the back of Huth's performance at Manchester City that Leicester emerged as this season's Premier League title favourites. Not only did the German centre-back marshal Sergio Aguero and City's attack, he also scored twice in the Foxes' 3-1 win at the Etihad to move five points clear at the top of the table.
2. Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Paris Saint-Germain)
Ibrahimovic continued his domination of Le Classique on Sunday, scoring just two minutes into the proceedings before assisting on Angel Di Maria's 71st-minute winner. The Swede now has nine goals in 10 matches against Marseille, and his contributions at the Stade Velodrome ensured PSG extended their Ligue 1 unbeaten streak to 34 matches.
3. Andreas Christensen (Borussia Monchengladbach)
Christensen scored his first Bundesliga goal in Friday's 5-1 win over Werder Bremen since joining Gladbach from Chelsea on a two-year loan in the summer. He added his second 19 minutes later. The 19-year-old centre-back has grabbed hold of a place in the heart of Andre Schubert's XI, and the Foals are hopeful of keeping the Dane beyond his loan spell.
4. Kostas Mitroglou (Benfica)
Mitroglou ensured Benfica leapfrogged Lisbon rivals Sporting (who hold a game in hand) atop the Portuguese Liga table by netting a hat trick in their 5-0 drubbing of Belenenses on Friday. The Fulham loanee now lies fourth in the Portuguese league's goal-scoring charts after scoring in five consecutive matches.
5. Paulo Dybala (Juventus)
Juventus were stifled by Frosinone's physicality in the opening act of Sunday's Serie A fixture, but Dybala ensured the Bianconeri earned their 14th straight league win by shaping a sumptuous left-footed shot into the far corner to cushion Juve's lead in a 2-0 victory.
6. Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City)
Mahrez supplied the cross for Huth to open the scoring in Leicester's triumph at Man City before adding a goal of his own. The Algerian became the first Premier League player this season to reach double figures for goals and assists, sitting on 14 tallies of his own and 10 further helpers.
7. Luka Modric (Real Madrid)
In what was a largely flat performance all around from Real Madrid, Modric took matters into his own hands. The Croatian scored an absolute thunderbolt in the 85th minute of what was then a 1-1 game, ensuring that Los Blancos nabbed three points to keep up with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in the La Liga title race.
8. Gonzalo Higuain (Napoli)
Another Serie A match, another goal for Higuain. The Argentine scored the lone goal in Napoli's 1-0 win over Carpi on Sunday, bringing his season tally to 24 goals in 24 league fixtures.
9. Koke (Atletico Madrid)
Koke is rounding into peak form following a midseason spell in the doldrums. The Spanish midfielder bagged a goal for himself last week at the Camp Nou, and this week he turned provider, delivering a pair of inch-perfect crosses for Jose Gimenez and Saul Niguez to finish in Atletico's 3-1 win over Eibar.
10. Jamie Vardy (Leicester City)
Vardy didn't get on the score sheet himself -- although he did miss one clear-cut chance that fell his way -- but his movement gave Man City's defence fits, making room for Huth's aerial abilities and Mahrez's majesty to tear the hosts apart. The Englishman was duly rewarded with a brand-new contract.
