The African Cup of Nations has reached the semifinal stage and we've got all the best betting angles covered this weekend, while there's also a 50/1 Premier League tip involving Manchester City for punters to consider.

The Banker

And then there were four. The African Cup of Nation reaches the business end on Sunday with two eye-catching semifinals. Bookmakers made Senegal clear outright favourites as soon as hosts Egypt were knocked out last weekend. The Lions of Teranga have never won the trophy but look to have a great shout now (they are no bigger than 5/4 to win it) as they line up against Tunisia on Sunday.

Tunisia have only one previous success in the finals, as hosts in 2004, but have acquitted themselves well this summer and in Ellyes Skhiri have unearthed a rare gem in midfield. The Montpellier midfielder looks to be one to keep an eye on in the future, but the Eagles of Carthage look firmly up against it against a classy Senegal outfit.

Sadio Mane has been grabbing the headlines up front, but defender Kalidou Koulibaly has barely put a foot wrong and has guided his side superbly to this point. Mane had two goals chalked off by VAR against Benin in the quarterfinals, but Idrissa Gueye's fine finish after a driving run from midfield was enough to separate the teams in the end. Senegal are a 13/5 shout to win a match featuring less than 2.5 goals, and that looks the way to bet given how frugal they have been defensively so far.

Selection: £5 Senegal to win & Under 2.5 goals at 13/5 with bet365.

The Deadly Double

African powerhouse Nigeria missed the past two AFCON editions, but the Super Eagles are back with a bang and start favourites, just, to edge past Algeria in Sunday's other semi.

Algeria, champions only once way back in 1980, endured a horror collapse at the last Cup of Nations despite starting the tournament as favourites. They have rebuilt their reputation this summer with a string of stirring displays but could struggle against a very dangerous Nigeria side.

Alex Iwobi and Wilfred Ndidi have impressed for Nigeria, who are bossed by wily German coach Gernot Rohr. Rohr's side only finished second behind Madagascar in Group B, but their performances have gone up a level since the start of the knockout stages.

They have real pace up front with Ahmed Musa and Odion Ighalo and look a decent price at 9/5. As stated we also fancy Senegal to get the jobs done and the Lions of Teranga are even money to win in 90 minutes vs. Tunisia. The Senegal/Nigeria double is paying better than 9/2 with bet365 and looks to have a real shout.

Selection: £4 on the double at 4.59/1 with bet365.

The Wild-Card Tip

The layers have been quick to price up the 2019/20 Premier League season and there are no surprises that Manchester City and Liverpool dominate the betting once again. The Citizens proved they are not content to rest on their laurels by splashing out a club record fee recently for Spanish international Rodri.

The former Atletico Madrid man is not expected to be the only new face at the Etihad either, so if you are looking for a value ante-post bet, you could do worse than take bet365's 50/1 offer that City go unbeaten in the league this season. Pep Guardiola guided his side the domestic treble last season and their form after Christmas was simply spellbinding.

Selection: £2 on Manchester City to be unbeaten in the Premier League in 2019/20 at 50/1 with bet365.
