David Silva to Liverpool

Liverpool are reportedly plotting a stunning swoop for Manchester City midfielder David Silva, according to The Sun. The Spaniard has 18 months left on his current deal at the Etihad Stadium and has recently spoken of his desire to extend it, but the Reds believe they can tempt him away from his current employers with improved terms. Silva has been with City since 2010 and has established himself as one of the finest playmakers the Premier League has ever seen, playing a key role in their two title triumphs. Inter Milan are also said to be interested in the 31-year-old.

Jack Wilshere to Real Betis

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has emerged as a shock Real Betis target. The La Liga side attempted to sign the 25-year-old last summer and are keen to revive their interest and offer him a fresh start, according to The Sun. Wilshere's deal with the Gunners expires at the end of this season and, despite regaining full fitness, he has yet to start a Premier League game this term. With Wilshere determined to re-establish himself on the international stage with England, he could be tempted by a move abroad. West Ham are also reportedly a potential suitor.

Frenkie de Jong to Arsenal

Arsenal are reported to be interested in signing Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong. The 20-year-old has impressed since breaking into the Eredivisie side this season and has also been the subject of talk surrounding a move to Manchester City. However, Arsene Wenger will look to steal a march on his rivals by opening talks with the Netherlands Under-21 international, who is currently valued at £5m. De Jong only has 18 months left on his contract.

Jonny Evans to Everton

Everton look to joined the race to sign Manchester City transfer target Jonny Evans from West Brom. The Northern Ireland international was linked with a move to the Etihad during the summer but City refused to meet the Baggies' £35m asking price. Despite a fantastic start to the season, City boss Pep Guardiola remains keen on bolstering his back-line. However, the Toffees are likely to provide stiff competition. Everton have struggled enormously this season, with Ronald Koeman sacked last month following a poor run of results, and the form of Michael Keane and Ashley Williams has prompted the club to look at Evans as an option in January.

Leon Goretzka to Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs are the latest high-profile club to join the race for highly-rated Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka. Tottenham are reportedly prepared to challenge Arsenal, Barcelona, Liverpool and Bayern Munich in the race to sign the 22-year-old, who will become a free agent when his contract expires next summer. Although Goretzka is said to favour a move to either Barca or Bayern, Spurs remain confident that they can sway him towards the Premier League. The midfielder has been in fine form this season, scoring four times in nine appearances.
