Edin Dzeko endured something of a mixed night's work over in Serie A on Sunday, with the on-loan Man City striker helping himself to a brace of goals in a 5-0 romp over Palermo while still managing to provide a strong candidate for 'Miss of the Season'.
With the game still goalless after 27 minutes, the ball broke invitingly for the Bosnian just yards from the completely vacant Palermo goalmouth.
What followed was -- and this is putting it mildly -- absolutely horrible.
Former @MCFC forward @EdDzeko misses an open goal from three yards for @OfficialASRoma against @palermocalcioit. https://t.co/5Gk9t55K5t

In fairness, Dzeko rallied to score twice and provide two more assists as Roma subsequently ran riot, the first of his goals coming just three minutes after this howler.
However, the goal of the night was scored by another Premier League misfit, ex-Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah, who somehow managed to squeeze in Roma's fourth from a seemingly impossible angle.
Believe it or not @EdDzeko's miss will not be the most talked about moment from Roma's win. Take a bow @22mosalah. https://t.co/oCCa2YBS1v

All in all, a bit of a strange old evening for the Giallorossi.
