How Manchester City celebrated their title: A golf course, a derby and a pub

Editor's note: Some of the embedded videos on this page contain explicit language.

It has been on the cards for quite some time, but Manchester City are finally Premier League champions. And, thanks to Man United's defeat to West Brom on Sunday, they didn't even have to kick a ball to do it.

Whether it was from the in-laws' house, a German derby, or the golf course, City's players celebrated their crowning moment in style -- though the same can't be said of their sponsors.

Vincent Kompany

The City captain watched Manchester United slip up from the comfort of his in-laws' home, with the celebrations broadcast around the world on Periscope. Unfortunately for one member of the household it didn't turn out well: Kompany's father-in-law is a Manchester United fan.

Kompany headed to the Railway Pub in Hale, just outside of Manchester, for the afterparty. Joined by teammates Kyle Walker, Fabian Delph, Bernardo Silva and John Stones, Kompany enjoyed himself before delivering an impassioned (and slightly blue) speech.

Pep Guardiola

As promised, Guardiola was nowhere near a television while Manchester United were facing West Brom -- he was busy playing golf with pro Tommy Fleetwood!

Gabriel Jesus

It was Samba time for one of City's Brazilian contingent, as he danced around his apartment before taking in a game of FIFA.

Bernardo Silva and John Stones

It is probably for the best that Silva and Stones' playing careers worked out, because their singing leaves a lot to be desired. As the pair headed to meet their teammates, the pair belted out the Queen classic "We are the Champions," but we doubt Simon Cowell would be impressed with their effort.

Ilkay Gundogan

City's German playmaker got away from rainy Manchester to return to his hometown of Gelsenkirchen. A boyhood Schalke fan, he headed to the Veltins Arena with a family member to see Schalke run out 2-0 winners against former club (and Schalke's fiercest rivals) Borussia Dortmund to tighten their grip on second place in the Bundesliga.

David Silva

Some things are more important than football. The Spaniard posted this beautiful picture with baby son Matteo in the wake of City's title win.
