Liverpool fan follows through on Divock Origi tattoo pledge after striker's derby winner

Liverpool forward Divock Origi took an awful lot of people by surprise when he came in from the cold to make his first Premier League appearance since August 2017 in the Merseyside derby on Sunday afternoon.

With the game goalless, the Belgium striker came off the Anfield bench in the 84th minute and proceeded to bundle home a dramatic stoppage-time winner thanks to an unlikely assist from Virgil van Dijk and unfortunate moment from Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

While Origi's shock contribution proved vital in the Reds' continuing attempts to keep pace with Manchester City at the summit, it also meant that one fan in particular was left with a classic over-zealous Twitter wager to fulfil.

Sure enough, a couple of days later, the Liverpudlian supporter provided photographic evidence of the bet being honoured.

Indeed, he proudly showed off his "D1V0CK" body art, complete with a stylised representation of the derby scoreline rendered in red and blue.

What a tasteful way to mark a flukey win over a team that hasn't claimed a league win at your side's ground in almost 20 years.

Of course, you don't have to go far to find other examples of questionable football-themed fan tattoos.
