With the Champions League final due to kick off in mere hours, the excitement is really beginning to ramp up in Madrid, where Liverpool will play Tottenham in UEFA's big bash this evening.

One Liverpool fan in particular got caught up in the very middle of the maelstrom due to his uncanny resemblance to a certain German head coach.

For obvious reasons, the "Kloppelganger" was instantly mistaken for the Liverpool coach and mobbed in the streets as people jostled for selfies, serenades and even TV interviews.

While understandably overwhelmed, "Jurgen Klopp" did his best to play along amid the furore.

The floppy hair, the stubble, the glasses and even the trademark mile-wide grin -- this is definitely one to add to the great Toe Poke Football Lookalike pantheon.

Wenger and Mourinho go toe-to-toe in studio

While there will be a feisty clash on the pitch at the Wanda Metropolitano, the real fireworks could come from on high in one of the many TV studios at the stadium.

That's because Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho, long-time bitter rivals as Premier League managers, will be sharing the punditry duties with beIN Sports.

That's right -- Mourinho will be sat next to the man he once called a "voyeur" and a "specialist in failure." And compiled a dossier of comments the former Arsenal boss has made about his Chelsea team. And had a touchline altercation with in 2014. And alluded to when answering his own critics at various times.

You get the picture.

In fairness, Mourinho has since spoken of his "respect" for Wenger after the Frenchman left his long-held position at Arsenal, but it remains to be seen how long they can make nice in the studio before the tension begins to show.

Which fans have the best skills?

Project Madrid, Episode 4 has landed in Madrid ahead of the 2019 Champions League final.

Mollie Kmita joined up with freestyle football supremoes The F2 in the Spanish capital.

The F2 discuss the final, give their predictions and also put the fans to the test to see whether Spurs followers or Reds supporters have the most skills.

Little Mix star wants Klopp to unleash The Ox

While he's unlikely to start for Liverpool, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will at least be buoyed by the fact that he will be supported from the stands by his girlfriend, Little Mix star Perrie Edwards.

The singer posted a story on her Instagram account showing her and her family milling around in the Spanish capital having flown in ahead of the final.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is likely to be among the substitutes at the Wanda Metropolitano after only recently fighting his way back from an 11-month injury lay-off.

"If they [Liverpool] win, it's going to be party central, and I am ready to party," Edwards told Forth 1 radio.

"I can't even tell you how nervous I am, and I don't even know if he [Oxlade-Chamberlain] is going to play or not, but my anxiety is through the roof."

Pressed for a scoreline prediction, Edwards plumped for a 3-1 Liverpool victory.

"I don't know what the outcome is going to be, but I at least want him to play a little part of it," she added.

Dembele gives Spurs fans all the feels

While Liverpool might have Little Mix on their side going into the Champions League final, Tottenham have also received a special good luck charm of their own.

Ahead of the game, the Spurs squad were sent a video message from one of their former colleagues -- namely Mousa Dembele, who left the club to join Guangzhou R&F back in January.

"It's a shame that I'm not there [at Tottenham] anymore, but I don't know anybody who deserves it more than you guys," Dembele said.

Before leaving for China, the Belgian midfielder actually featured for Spurs early on their road to the final, starting twice in the group stage against PSV and Inter Milan.

That might actually be enough to entitle him to a medal come the end of the evening.
