Ibrahimovic's boast backfires

Ahead of the "Cali Clasico" between LA Galaxy and San Jose Earthquakes, Zlatan Ibrahimovic emerged from training to face the media and couldn't resist the opportunity to brag.

Asked about the pressure he puts on himself in pursuit of silverware, Ibra seized the chance to remind everybody, once again, of his impressive track record while claiming that he's won more in his career than the whole of MLS put together.

"I came here because I have won a lot; I didn't come to relax. So far I've won 33 trophies; which is probably more than the whole MLS put together," the Swedish striker bragged.

"I know what I'm doing, trust me."

For the record, Galaxy promptly went on to lose 3-0 to the Earthquakes.

Klopp's message for German U21s

Germany will be heading into the European Under-21 Championship final knowing they have the backing of one of the biggest, most successful names in the game.

Jurgen Klopp has sent a motivational good luck message to the German squad, wishing them well against Spain on Sunday evening.

'We're in the final! It's been an incredible journey that we've been able to experience together, and you can already be so, so proud of what you've achieved," Klopp said.

"Now the tension will start to rise, which is totally normal. It's often said that 'heart beats quality.'

"You guys are the perfect combination of heart, a great attitude, fantastic team spirit and massive potential. Mix that all together and you get a squad like you guys.

"I can't wait for the match, neither can you, all that's left to do is show heart, go out there and show the Spanish what's what. Good luck, we're with you!'"

Isn't it strange to hear Klopp speaking in his native tongue? A little like overhearing Arsene Wenger talk in French. All wrong.

Henderson's trophy ink

Jordan Henderson has continued celebrating Liverpool's Champions League success well into his summer break.

The Liverpool captain played a crucial role as Jurgen Klopp's side beat Tottenham to win a sixth European Cup and made headlines after for his emotional postmatch celebration with his father.

Now, on holiday in California the midfielder has had the trophy and the date on which Liverpool won it immortalised on his leg.

Tattoo artist Tommy Montoya shared a picture of Henderson's new ink alongside a captain that read "Even at the top he remains humble. #truechampion."
