          Real Madrid agree world record €180m Kylian Mbappe deal

          TOP STORY: Madrid agree world-record Mbappe deal

          For a while now, it has appeared that Real Madrid are the club most determined to land Monaco prodigy Kylian Mbappe -- and Marca reports that they are determined enough to "pulverise" all transfer records.

          The Spanish outlet says Madrid "have reached an agreement in principle with Monaco for the transfer of Kylian Mbappe," and that deal is eye-watering -- €180 million in all, consisting of a €160m fee and an extra €20m in incentives.

          Marca adds that the previous world record fee, paid by Manchester United for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba last summer, "could be ancient history soon."

          16.45 BST: Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches has told Sport Bild a potential move to AC Milan is "interesting," saying he was "not satisfied" with his first year in Munich and "if the clubs can agree, I would like to talk to them."

          16.30 BST: Sky Sports reports that Brighton midfielder Oliver Norwood is closing in on a season-long loan move to Fulham after passing a medical.

          15.35 BST: DONE DEAL Brighton and Hove Albion have signed attacker Izzy Brown from Chelsea on a season-long loan.

          Brown, 20, had been wanted by Huddersfield -- who he helped to promotion during a loan spell last season -- but has instead opted to make the switch to the south coast.

          15.20 BST: Burnley have announced that a fee has been agreed with Leeds United for the transfer of defender Charlie Taylor:

          15.00 BST: Hoffenheim full-back Jeremy Toljan, who can operate on either flank, has emerged as a target for Tottenham Hotspur, according to the Mail, which reports that the 22-year-old "is seen as ideal competition for Kieran Trippier, Danny Rose and Ben Davies."

          14.45 BST: West Bromwich Albion could break their club record with a £20m bid to land defender Ben Gibson from Middlesbrough, the Mirror reports.

          It says West Brom have had two offers rejected but "are not giving up after relegated Boro told Gibson he can go if they get a big offer."

          14.26 BST: DONE DEAL Dijon have confirmed the signing of attacking midfielder Naim Sliti on a season-long loan from Ligue 1 rivals Lille.

          14.00 BST: After a series of setbacks and frustrations, Arsenal are finally closing in on a £45m move for Monaco defender Thomas Lemar, the Sun reports.

          After two bids from the Londoners were rejected, they "have finally made a breakthrough" in their pursuit of the 21-year-old, the report says.

          13.45 BST: Newly promoted Brighton and Hove Albion will sign Chelsea attacker Izzy Brown on loan for the season, the Brighton Argus reports.

          Brown helped Huddersfield win promotion last season, with the Yorkshire club having been keen to sign him for another year, but has opted to switch to the south coast instead.

          The Argus says the signing "will be officially announced today, and Albion plan to involve Brown in tonight's friendly at Southend United."

          13.30 BST: Reports in France say Paris Saint-Germain could make a move for Danilo Pereira as they look to strengthen their midfield ranks.

          13.15 BST: Marca has reported that Inter Milan could offer Tottenham €15m for Erik Lamela, but adds that the London club are seeking €18m.

          12.55 BST: Sunderland will sign Bournemouth forward Lewis Grabban on a season-long loan, TEAMtalk reports. The former Norwich player had a loan spell with Championship side Reading last season.

          12.50 BST: DONE DEAL Serie A club Fiorentina have signed midfielder Jordan Veretout from Aston Villa:

          12.45 BST: Burnley could sign Stoke City defender Phil Bardsley in a £2m deal, the Mail reports. The Scotland international could be one of the three or four new signings targeted by Burnley manager Sean Dyche.

          12.25 BST: Marca says Monaco have agreed a mega deal to sell Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid (see above) -- but Monaco have swiftly told Sky Sports that's not the case.

          12.15 BST: DONE DEAL League One Peterborough United have signed former Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor, a free agent, on a two-year contract.

          11.55 BST: And it seems we can forget about speculation that Cristiano Ronaldo could be on his way from Real Madrid -- Ronaldo has told Marca it "would be great" to repeat last season's trophy success this season, with his comments coming soon after coach Zinedine Zidane told ESPN FC: "Cristiano is one of us. He's going to stay with us."

          11.45 BST: The arrival of Javier Hernandez at West Ham has got co-chairman David Sullivan pretty excited, and he has told talkSPORT that the Hammers could have pulled off their finest deal ever.

          "I think he is potentially the best player who has ever come to the club," he said. "In recent years, he is probably the best proven goalscorer we have signed since we have been at the club. We were lucky he only had a year left on his contract with his club [Bayer Leverkusen], and that allows you to negotiate a deal."

          11.15 BST: You always suspected we hadn't heard the last of Barcelona's reported interested in Liverpool playmaker Phillippe Coutinho -- and, right on cue, Sky Sports reports that the Liga giants will table another bid for the Brazil international after a £72m offer was turned down.

          10.45 BST: Manchester United have confirmed they have signed young goalkeeper Theo Richardson.

          Richardson, 18, arrived from Leeds on a short-term contract at the end of last season and has been rewarded for his performances in the under-18s with a permanent contract.

          10.15 BST: And news from the south coast, where defender Adam Smith has put pen to paper on a new four-year deal with Bournemouth.

          10.05 BST: DONE DEAL The new era at Wolves is proving to be a busy one -- it's now 10 signings and counting this summer after the arrival of attacking midfielder Diogo Jota on loan from Atletico Madrid.

          09.50 BST: Sky Sports reports that Watford are keen to bring in Valencia defender Aymen Abdennour. The move would be on an initial loan basis with an option to buy.

          09.35 BST: Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti has said he is "100 percent" certain Arturo Vidal will stay but confirmed AC Milan target Renato Sanches could leave.

          Manchester United are again being linked with Chile international Vidal, who had been a target when Louis van Gaal took charge of the Premier League side in 2014, but Ancelotti said the 30-year-old is not for sale.

          09.20 BST: And while on the theme of Wolves, reports suggest their attempts to sign Swansea defender Stephen Kingsley on loan rebuffed.

          09.15 BST: Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce continues to reshape his squad for what he hopes will be a Championship promotion challenge next season, and he could add Liverpool striker Sheyi Ojo on loan, the Express and Star reports. Ojo, 20, made his competitive debut for Liverpool last season following a loan spell at Wolves.

          09.05 BST: Celtic left-back Emilio Izaguirre is to leave Scottish champions Celtic after seven years, having agreed a deal with Saudi Arabian side Al-Fayha, Sky Sports reports.

          08.40 BST: The Mirror reckons Leicester want about £50m for Riyad Mahrez, which could result in the Roma target staying at the King Power Stadium.

          08.20 BST: AS suggests Neymar's camp want reassurances that PSG will not incur financial fair play sanctions if the €222 million deal goes through.

          07.56 BST: Gonzalo Higuain says reported Barcelona target Paulo Dybala must stay at Juve to win the seventh Scudetto in a row and the Coppa Italia and try to win the Champions League, and because he is loved there.

          Blues to back Conte with £250 million

          There's plenty more spending to come at Chelsea, according to the Telegraph, which reports that the Premier League champions are poised to "back coach Antonio Conte with a budget that could top £250 million."

          Conte wants to make four more signings, with Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, Inter Milan winger Antonio Candreva, Swansea forward Fernando Llorente and Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk in his sights.

          Of that quartet, the Telegraph says Sandro is "high on the list" and adds that Chelsea "are optimistic about a £60m deal for the Brazilian."

          The Londoners will step up efforts to reach an agreement for Candreva, while Llorente "is seen as a realistic option to boost Conte's depleted attack."

          Van Dijk, who continues to be linked with Liverpool, is reported to be the lowest priority, but the Telegraph adds that Chelsea "are continuing to monitor his situation and could make a bid before the window closes."

          It's carry on spending as City eye Sanchez

          You might think Manchester City have already spent staggering money this summer -- but they aren't finished yet, the Mail reports.

          It says City, who wrapped up a move for Monaco defender Benjamin Mendy on Monday, want to turn their attention to attack and "are ready to take their astronomical outlay to another level by bidding for Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez or Mbappe."

          Sanchez is the more likely arrival of the two, the Mail adds, reporting that City "believe they still have a chance of signing the Chile international, despite Arsene Wenger's insistence that he will not be leaving."

          It says they have also been "encouraged by his desire to play Champions League football next season."

          Swansea hold firm on Sigurdsson valuation

          To Wales, where Swansea City "remain resolute" that they will not accept less than £50 million for midfield maestro Gylfi Sigurdsson, according to the Guardian.

          Everton have already seen two bids, one of £40 million and another of £45 million, rejected by the Swans, while Leicester have also been told that they will have to dig very deep to have any chance of landing the Iceland international.

          But the Merseysiders remain in the frame to clinch a deal, with the Guardian saying negotiations "are expected to continue, and Ronald Koeman is keen to add the midfielder to his expensive recruitment drive this week."

          The report adds that Swansea "believe their valuation of a consistently creative talent to be fair in a transfer market where Manchester City paid £50m for Spurs right-back Kyle Walker."

          Tap-ins

          -- Premier League Watford and Championship club Hull City are in the frame to sign Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic after manager Jurgen Klopp declared that the Serbia international's Anfield career was over.

          Liverpool, the Mirror reports, "are prepared to take a staggering £13m hit" on a player brought in from Benfica three years ago.

          Watford appear to be favourites to offer Markovic a fresh start, with coach Marco Silva having signed him on loan during his stint at Hull last season.

          -- Sunderland could recruit Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack on a season-long loan, according to the Mail.

          It says McCormack, 30, "will be allowed to move after manager Steve Bruce left him out of the preseason trip to Germany" and is interesting Sunderland as they seek a replacement for Jermain Defoe.
