Transfer Rater: Adnan Januzaj to Everton, Matteo Darmian to Juventus

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the Whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Matteo Darmian to Juventus

Darmian appears to be edging closer to securing a move to Juventus after the player's agent said that talks are "progressing very well." Negotiations are now believed to be at an advanced stage and the transfer is expected to go through despite Juve initially baulking at Manchester United's asking price of around £18 million. Darmian is keen to leave United having fallen out of favour under Jose Mourinho and is tipped to replace Alex Sandro in the Bianconeri line-up, with the Brazilian left-back set for a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Thiago Alcantara to Barcelona

Bayern Munich are willing to sell midfielder Thiago at the right price, according to AS. The Spain international is ready to return to Barcelona after a successful five-year stint at the Allianz Arena. However, it remains to be seen if the two clubs can agree on an asking price and Barcelona's interest in the deal may be cooled if they can secure the signing of Adrien Rabiot from PSG. Thiago played under Pep Guardiola at Camp Nou before joining the coach at Bayern. The 27-year-old won two La Liga titles and a Champions League during his time in Catalonia.

Adnan Januzaj to Everton

Everton have reportedly made an approach for Januzaj, with the Toffees ready to give the former Manchester United winger a chance to revive his Premier League career, according to Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsbald. The 23-year-old failed to maintain the form that saw him break into United's first-team under David Moyes and, following fruitless loan spells at Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland, the player has recaptured some confidence with Real Sociedad. Januzaj briefly starred for Belgium during their run to the World Cup semifinals, scoring a beautiful winner against England to secure top spot in Group G.

Robert Lewandowski to Manchester United

Manchester United have revived their interest in Lewandowski, according to The Independent. Bayern Munich are reportedly willing to let the player go at the right price, but United will face stiff competition from Real Madrid and Chelsea. Lewandowski has a remarkable record for Bayern of 151 goals in 195 games. The 29-year-old had a World Cup to forget, however, failing to find the net as Poland crashed out at the group stage.

Alfie Mawson to Burnley

Burnley are reportedly set to raid Swansea City in a double swoop for Mawson and Sam Clucas following the Welsh club's relegation from the Premier League, according to the Daily Mail. The Clarets are keen to build on their impressive seventh-place finish last season under Sean Dyche and have turned to Mawson having grown frustrated in their pursuit of West Bromwich Albion defender Craig Dawson. The 24-year-old centre-half has impressed at the Liberty Stadium following his move from Barnsley in 2016, with his excellent form last season earning him a first England call-up in March. Dyche wants to add another central defender to his ranks having relied on Ben Mee, James Tarkowski and Kevin Long last season.
