Alessio Romagnoli to Manchester United

Jose Mourinho wants United to publicly back him by bringing in defensive reinforcements in January. Sources have told ESPN the Portuguese will turn to Italy to strengthen his backline and AC Milan centre-back Romagnoli, who has also been courted by Chelsea, is on the club's shortlist. United also maintain an interest in Inter defender Milan Skriniar.

Nick Pope to Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs are monitoring Burnley's goalkeeping situation as they weigh up a summer move for Nick Pope, according to the Mirror. The England stopper has been out since dislocating his shoulder in a Europa League qualifier in July but was one of the Premier League's standout performers last season. On his return he'll face competition for the No.1 spot from Joe Hart and Tom Heaton. If he doesn't get back into the starting XI then Tottenham will make their move.

Alexis Sanchez to Paris Saint-Germain

The Chile winger wants to quit Manchester United in January and is hoping PSG make a January move for his services, according to the Daily Mail. Sanchez has struggled for form since arriving at Old Trafford from Arsenal at the start of the year. He has scored just three Premier League goals and has been publicly criticised by Mourinho. However, a stumbling block of any move away from Manchester could be the forward's reported £500,000-a-week wages.

Miguel Almiron to Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs are ready to rival Arsenal for Atlanta United star Almiron, according to Paraguayan radio station Futbol A Lo Grande. The midfielder has established himself as one of MLS' biggest stars and this season has struck 12 goals and provided a further 13 assists. The MLS side would want around £22m for Almiron.

Freddy Woodman to Arsenal

The Gunners are scouting Newcastle United goalkeeper Woodman, who is out of contract at St James' Park in the summer of 2020. According to The Chronicle, representatives from the Gunners have watched the England Under-21 goalkeeper in action for the Magpies Under-23s this season. Fulham and Scottish champions Celtic are also reportedly keeping tabs on his situation.
