FA confirm Christchurch tribute ahead of England-Czech Republic match

The Football Association has said a tribute will be paid to the victims of the mass shooting in Christchurch before England's European Championship qualifier against the Czech Republic at Wembley Stadium on Friday.

Fifty people died in the attack on two mosques, including New Zealand futsal international Atta Elayyan. Australian Brenton Harrison Tarrant, 28, a suspected white supremacist, has been charged with murder over the shootings.

"We will pay tribute to the victims of the tragedy in New Zealand at the England v Czech Republic match on Friday 22 March," the FA said in a statement.

"We will remember everyone affected by the terrible events in Christchurch."
