Manchester City fell further behind in the title race after a 2-1 defeat at Leicester City. Bernardo Silva fired them into a 14th-minute lead, but Marc Albrighton headed the home side level before Ricardo Pereira's stunning 81st-minute winner. Pep Guardiola's side have now slipped to third in the Premier League, seven points behind leaders Liverpool after back-to-back defeats.
Positives
It could have been far worse had City buckled in a torrid 10 minutes before half-time. Leicester piled forward in search of a goal but John Stones, Aymeric Laporte and Ederson stepped up to keep it level at half-time. But there is precious little take from a day when a title defence looked to be slipping through their hands.
Negatives
City's inability to keep a clean sheet has now gone from being a concern to a major problem. It's nine games since they kept an opponent out in the Premier League and taking the lead no longer provides the expectancy that three points will follow. None of City's fit full-backs look secure and there is no natural fit for the holding midfield role with Fernandinho injured. The combination of those two problems is causing the whole side to look edgy.

4 -- Pep Guardiola is trying to fit square pegs into round holes and, for the moment, it has stopped working. What was perhaps surprising was that he didn't change his approach earlier when they were chasing a much-needed win. Raheem Sterling was particularly ineffective and Riyad Mahrez would have relished coming on against his old club, but stayed sitting on the bench until the final 10 minutes.

GK Ederson, 6 -- Big save on Jamie Vardy when he was clean through after Silva's terrible back-pass. Albrighton's header and Pereira's goal were well out of his reach.
DF Danilo, 5 -- Came in for Kyle Walker after the England defender's horror show against Crystal Palace. No glaring errors but didn't look solid either.
DF John Stones, 6 -- Looked far more comfortable in a more familiar centre-back role. Tough test against Vardy.
DF Aymeric Laporte, 6 -- Brought the ball out of defence well a couple of times, including for the opening goal.
DF Fabian Delph, 2 -- Lost Albrighton for Leicester's equaliser and looked uncomfortable when he was isolated. Rounded it off with a stupid high challenge that saw him see red and face a subsequent ban.
MF Ilkay Gundogan, 5 -- The latest to try the holding midfield role. The good was his link-up play; the bad was Leicester found it far too easy to bypass him.
MF Bernardo Silva, 6 -- Another to put in a mixed bag of a performance. Neat finish for the opener but one horrible pass almost gifted the home side a goal.
MF Kevin De Bruyne, 6 -- First start of the season in the Premier League. Looked sharp and was close a number of times to delivering the killer pass.
FW Raheem Sterling, 4 -- Hasn't been able to make an impact in recent weeks, and Ben Chilwell, who has been linked with a move to City, kept him quiet.
FW Sergio Aguero, 5 -- Clever work for Silva's goal but looked rusty. Scooped one good opportunity over the bar from six yards out.
FW Leroy Sane, 6 -- His speed and quick feet caused Pereira problems all afternoon. Just missing that important contribution when City needed it most.
