Switzerland striker Josip Drmic has been ruled out of Euro 2016 after injuring a knee while playing for Hamburg.
The Swiss football federation announced the "bitter" news that Drmic needs surgery and will miss the summer tournament on its Twitter account.

Drmic posted a photograph on his Facebook page of himself walking with the help of crutches.
The 23-year-old was injured against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday. He is on loan at Hamburg from Borussia Moenchengladbach.
He scored three goals in nine Euro 2016 qualifying matches as Switzerland finished second in their group, which was won by England.
Switzerland take on hosts France, Romania and Albania in their Euro 2016 group.
