Cameroon defender Aurelien Chedjou has taken a local media source to task on Twitter after they incorrectly reported that he'd joined Istanbul Basaksehir from Galatasaray.
Writing on his @AurelienChedjou handle, the 31-year-old completely repudiated an article published by local source CamFoot, who had shared a transfer story doing the rounds in the Turkish media that revealed the defender was on the move.
"Stop writing s--- please," the defender began. "I haven't signed anywhere.
"€800,000," he continued, quoting the transfer fee noted in the article. "When a player is free, there's no fee to transfer.
"Contact me, but I won't tell you how to do your job, apart from that this is misinformation and not information," Chedjou continued. "At least you need to do your research, because above all, you have the advantage as you're Cameroonian, like me.
Arretez d'écrire la merde svp,je n'ai signé nulle part,800000€? Quand un joueur est libre il n'y a pas de sommes à verser, journalistes, tsssp

"Are you just copying and pasting?" he continued. "It's cheating."
The centre-back joined Galatasaray from LOSC Lille back in 2013 and has enjoyed some success with the Istanbul giants, winning the Turkish title in 2015 and three Turkish Cups.
He featured 15 times in the Super Lig this season, with Gala currently fourth in the table with one game left to play.
The Douala-born defender, who also featured for Pau FC, Auxerre and Rouen, signed a four-year contract with Gala in May 2013, and appears set to be released at the season's end.
"I still haven't signed anywhere," he replied to another Twitter user. "You're telling me about my situation?
Chedjou represented Cameroon at the World Cups of 2010 and 2014, but was not included in Hugo Broos's Nations Cup-winning squad earlier this year.
