Borussia Monchengladbach 2-0 VfL Wolfsburg

Borussia Monchengladbach won their third Bundesliga game in a row under the guidance of caretaker coach Andre Schubert, beating Wolfsburg 2-0 at the Borussia Park Stadion.
Goals from Havard Nordtveit and Ibrahima Traore in the space of four second-half minutes were enough for the Foals to take all three points and leave the bottom three in their wake.
Wolfsburg slipped out of the top six after suffering only their second defeat of the season
Wolfsburg had the ball in the back of Manchester United's net after only four minutes in midweek and it looked like they might do the same again in Monchengladbach as they were quick out of the blocks.
Dieter Hecking's attack-minded team looked keen to nip Gladbach's recent resurgence in the bud and get their own campaign back on track, although the first real opening came at the other end with Oscar Wendt's deflected shot nearly looping over Diego Benaglio.
Gladbach were playing the kind of football that had distinguished their last four years under Lucien Favre, posing an increasing threat on the counter-attack.
The new dimension they have gained to their game under Schubert has been an increased determination, and that was evident in the way they took the lead in the 76th minute.
Raffael's persistence allowed him to pick up possession wide on the right and evade Timm Klose's challenge before pulling the ball back to the edge of the area, where Nordtveit connected on the volley to beat Benaglio.
Less than five minutes later, Traore was put through on goal by Lars Stindl and he placed his shot past Benaglio into the left-hand corner to knock the stuffing out of the Wolves.
Traore pulled another shot wide of the far post, but enough damage had already been done with Gladbach continuing their revival and contributing to Wolfsburg's recent decline, with their coach Dieter Hecking watching the conclusion of the game from the stands after being sent from his bench.
