Leverkusen ace Tah coy on Dortmund, Premier League rumours

Germany international Jonathan Tah has remained coy on his Bayer Leverkusen future, after Kicker linked him with Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and Premier League clubs.

The 21-year-old reportedly has a €25 million buyout clause in his contract due to expire in 2020.

Tah has been one of the key players in Leverkusen's defence this season following a slow start under new boss Heiko Herrlich. He has only missed one match this term, and has played the full 90 minutes in 19 of the 21 league games so far.

Leverkusen, second in the table, are in the running for a Champions League qualifying spot and are one step away from the German Cup final for the first time since 2009.

"It honours me when big clubs show interest, because it's a confirmation of my good performances," Tah, told Reviersport.

"It motivates me. It's does me good. Let me put it this way: my goal is to turn myself into the best player I can be. And I can't say which path I will take."

When asked when he will make a decision on his future, Tah said: "I have a valid contract here, I am happy at Leverkusen. The club's big, but also very much like a family. I feel I am rated by fans and the leadership. And the club wants to play in the Champions League. That's why it's a top club for me."
