The football's coming thick and fast, and so is 'By the numbers'.

FA Cup

There were no upsets in this year's edition of the world's oldest footballing tournament, with four of the Premier League's big 6 booking their berths in the semifinals. Manchester United will face Chelsea on July 18 and Manchester City will face Arsenal on July 19.

4

Manchester City became the fourth away team to win a quarterfinal match in the FA Cup this season. The last time there were as many as four away matches won at the quarterfinal stage of the competition in a single edition was in 1986-87.

Also, 4

Odion Ighalo is only the second player in Manchester United's history to score in each of his first four competitive starts for the club, following James Hanson back in 1925.

6

The super sub is at it again. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer became the first manager to make six substitutions in a competitive game when he brought on Anthony Martial in extra time vs. Norwich.

30

Arsenal and Manchester United have both qualified for the semi-final of the FA Cup for the 30th time -- the most in the competition's history.

Premier League

Just the two matches in the PL over the weekend, with Watford crumbling at home to Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers moving to fifth with a routine 1-0 win over Aston Villa.

5

James Ward-Prowse has scored five direct free kick goals in the Premier League since the start of 2017-18 - the most by any player in the competition in this period.

8

Considering their rocky start to the season, including that 9-0 defeat to Leicester City, Ralph Hassenhutl and his Saints have done quite the job this season. Southampton have now won eight away games in the Premier League this season -- the most in a single top-flight campaign in the club's history.

20/3

This is quite the stat. If PL games this season finished at half-time, Wolves would be bottom with 27 points. However, if you only counted results from the second half, they would be third behind champions Liverpool and Manchester City. In fact, 73% (33/45) of Wolves' PL goals this term have been scored in the second half of games, the largest ratio of any team in the competition this season.

43.6

Danny Ings has scored 43.6% of Southampton's Premier League goals this season (17/39); only Norwich's Teemu Pukki has scored a higher percentage of his team's goals (44% - 11/25).

Liverpool special

1 - Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp is the first German manager to win the English top-flight title in its 131-year history. But that's just the start.

La Liga

With a 1-0 win over Espanyol, Real Madrid moved to the top outright. Barcelona slipped up earlier against Celta Vigo, Iago Aspas scoring in the 88th minute to make it 2-2.

3

Karim Benzema is the third La Liga player to reach double figures for both goals (22) and assists (10) in 2019/20 in all competitions, after Lionel Messi (26 & 21) and Luis Suárez (16 & 11).

5

Barcelona have lost five points in the last five minutes in La Liga games this season, more than any other team in the competition (level with Valencia).

87

Over the last five La Liga seasons, only Lionel Messi (154) and Luis Suárez (128) have scored more goals than Iago Aspas' 87. Cristiano Ronaldo hasn't been around for two of those last five, and he's still fourth with 86.

104

No team has recorded more wins against a single opponent in La Liga history than Real Madrid have against Espanyol (W104 D33 L35).

Bundesliga

That's that for this season's Bundesliga then, Bayern Munich swatting aside Wolfsburg 4-0, Borussia Dortmund being swatted aside 4-0 by Hoffenheim and Werder Bremen warding off automatic relegation with a 6-1 thumping of FC Koln (they now face second-division Heidenheim in a two-legged playoff). Dusseldorf (with one point less than Werder) and Paderborn, meanwhile, are going to 2.Bundesliga.

4

Andrej Kramaric is the first ever Hoffenheim player to score four goals in a Bundesliga (BL) game and the first player ever to score four goals as a visitor in a BL game in Dortmund

21

Thomas Muller's 21 assists this season is a BL record, breaking the one set by Kevin De Bruyne with Wolfsburg (20).

34

Robert Lewandowski's 34 BL goals are the most in a season since Dieter Müller's 34 in 1976-77. In fact, only Gerd Müller has scored more goals in a single BL season (40 in 71-72, 38 in '69-'70, 36 in '72-73). Lewandowski's 5 Torjägerkanone (top-scorer) wins puts him second on the list, only behind Gerd Muller's 7.

100

Bayern Munich have ended the season with 100 Bundesliga goals, one shy of their record set in 1971-72.

Serie A

The top four (Juventus, Lazio, Inter Milan, Atalanta) all won, while fifth-placed Roma slipped further away from the Champions League spots with a 2-0 loss at seventh-placed AC Milan.

2

Both of Luis Muriel's goals against former side Udinese came from outside the box. The only players with multiple goals from outside the box in multiple games this season across Europe's Top 5 leagues are Muriel and Lionel Messi.

80

Inter have won a Serie A match after being behind at minute 80 for the first time since April 2011, against Cesena.

MESSI-RONALDO WATCH

The wait for 700 continues for Lionel Messi, who is now into a three-match goal 'drought' since hitting 699. Cristiano Ronaldo, meanwhile, scored again this weekend.

9

Ronaldo is second on the list of most penalties scored without missing in a single season (over the last ten) in Europe's top 5 leagues. He is tied with Eden Hazard at Lille and Nene at PSG, both of whom did this in 2011-12. Leading the pack is Zlatan Ibrahimovic who scored 10 without missing in that same (remarkable!) Ligue 1 season.

20

Lecce are the 20th different side Ronaldo has scored against in Serie A - he has found the net against 20 of the 21 teams he has faced in the competition so far, the exception being Chievo Verona.

250

This comes courtesy Opta -- in assisting Luis Suarez's second goal against Celta Vigo, Messi provided his 250th assist for Barcelona (179 of them in La Liga).
