Asante Kotoko's league game against Hearts of Oak on Sunday has been postponed indefinitely after one club official died on Wednesday night in an accident.

The club confirmed that it lost equipment officer Kofi Asare in an accident around Nkawkaw as the team returned from a Ghana Premier League game against Inter Allies in Accra.

The club's English coach Steve Polack, his assistant Godwin Ablordey and midfielder Ashitey Ollenu are still in hospital.

The Professional League Board, the body which runs the domestic league in Ghana says as a result of the accident, the league meeting between Kotoko and Hearts has been postponed indefinitely. All other league games will be honoured on Sunday across the country.

The PLB has ordered every team to wear red and black arm bands and observe a minute's silence in honour of the deceased Kotoko official.
