Yuto Nagatomo signs new Inter Milan contract until 2019

MILAN -- Japan international Yuto Nagatomo has extended his contract with Inter Milan until the 2018-19 season.

Inter made the announcement on Friday without disclosing financial details. Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the new deal raises Nagatomo's salary from €1.3 million ($1.5m) to €1.5m ($1.7m) per season.

The 29-year-old full-back joined Inter from Cesena in January 2011 and has made 172 appearances and scored 11 goals in all competitions for the club.

He reportedly turned down a loan move to Manchester United in January. His contract was due to expire at the end of this season.

Nagatomo said: "I feel at home here. I didn't want to leave and I'm happy I can stay."
