Montero, 24, joins the Swans from Mexican club Morelia for an undisclosed fee on a four-year contract, becoming the side's sixth signing of the summer.

Swansea boss Garry Monk had already brought Gylfi Sigurdsson, Lukasz Fabianski, Bafetimbi Gomis, Marvin Emnes and Stephen Kingsley to the Liberty Stadium this summer.

Meanwhile, Pozuelo has left Swansea for Rayo Vallecano for an undisclosed fee.

The Spanish midfielder spent one season with the Welsh outfit, after moving from Real Betis last summer, making 36 appearances and scoring two goals.
