Marko Marin eyes Europa success

Marko Marin has his sights set on an unprecedented hat trick of Europa League wins after officially linking up with his new club Fiorentina.

Marin, who joined Chelsea from Werder Bremen in 2012, won the Europa League with the Blues in 2013 and he was on loan at Sevilla when they lifted the prize last May.

The Viola are through to the group stage of this year's competition after finishing third in Serie A last year, giving Marin -- who has signed on a season-long loan -- the opportunity to make it three in a row.

"I won the Europa League in the last two years and it would be really nice to repeat that again," the German midfielder, capped 16 times by his country, said at a news conference in Florence. "Then of course we want to qualify for Europe again, and we have the quality within the side to do that. I want to play my part.

"I was very impressed with the way Fiorentina played last season, with a beautiful attacking brand of football. There are some good players in this team and I really think we can play a great season and be in the running for a place in Europe. Fiorentina have been successful in recent years and I want to play my part in ensuring this continues.

"The most important thing for me this season is to play regularly. In the last two years I kept having small niggling injuries. Now I want to get back to the player I was with Werder Bremen. Actually, I want to be even stronger and obviously I hope to return to the national team."
