Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has not ruled out more winter transfers in both directions for the Bundesliga strugglers, and also renewed his vote of confidence for Jurgen Klopp.
On Monday, Dortmund sold South Korea international Ji Dong-Won to Augsburg and also announced the signing of Salzburg's Kevin Kampl. With the transfer window set to open on Jan. 1, Watze says the club could be involved in more deals imminently.
"It's not ruled out that we'll do a bit in the next few days," Watzke told Bild about possible winter signings, adding that "there are no taboos in the other direction as well."
BVB head into the winter break in the Bundesliga relegation zone after a disastrous first half of the season, though Watzke is standing behind under-fire coach Klopp.
"Threats are not a good argument, but we expect that everyone pulls together," Watzke said of the results of an eight-hour meeting between the CEO, sporting director Michael Zorc and Klopp. "When we are of the opinion that a player does not help us, he will hear it from us very clearly."
Watzke added that during the crisis meeting "no stone was left unturned," but that Klopp had been backed by the club's hierarchy. "An ultimatum [for Klopp] would be perverse," the CEO said. "We go into this 100 percent together. There is no scenario which could change that.
"There are zero doubts. We are totally convinced of him. A few weeks ago he was praised into the skies, and the very same people now say that his time is over. I think that's just embarrassing."
Meanwhile, new BVB attacking midfielder Kampl has said that he has been a die-hard fan of the club since his childhood. The 24-year-old Slovenia international was born and raised in Solingen, some 50 kilometres west of Dortmund.

"It's great that it worked out," the forward said on Sky. "I am delighted. I have been a BVB fanatic as a kid, and it's a dream fulfilled to be able to play for such an outstanding club."
