Adel Taarabt: Inter Milan have made enquiries

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Adel Taarabt has said Inter Milan have made an enquiry for his services.

Taarabt spent the second half of last season on loan at AC Milan, impressing during his time in Serie A but not remaining with the club due to the substantial cost of the transfer.

His price tag may not be too high for their city rivals, however, if they can find a makeweight to send to the Premier League club as part of a deal to bring the player back to Italy.

"They've asked me about my physical condition, but I think that at the moment it hinges on Inter players who QPR would like," Taarabt told Tuttomercatoweb. "It's complicated, but all I can say is that I've trained a lot, even on my own considering I've not been playing much. I'm fit and I want to fight for something big.

"My agent is working on finding a solution. I've always said that I would like a change of air and I can only repeat that.

"There has been contact with several Italian clubs so let's just wait and see. My aim is to be in a side challenging for a place in Europe."

The 25-year-old made a surprise start in the 2-1 defeat to Burnley at the weekend, having been criticised by QPR coach Harry Redknapp earlier this season for being overweight and "not fit to play football."

For AC Milan, he made 16 appearances, scoring four and setting up a further two.
