END# Ivica Olic has said he is happy to stay at Wolfsburg after the Bundesliga side blocked his return to Hamburg. Olic, 35, spent his formative Bundesliga years at Hamburg, joining them from CSKA Moscow in January 2007 and scoring 29 goals in 78 league games. He moved to Bayern Munich in 2009, spending three years there, before signing for Wolfsburg. Last summer, Olic retired from international football after winning 100 caps for Croatia and has continued to be a key man in the Wolfsburg attack. Earlier this week, he told the club that he wanted to go back to Hamburg, but sporting executive Klaus Allofs rejected the request. "It's not a problem for me to stay at Wolfsburg," Olic told kicker. "I enjoy being here, and I am looking forward to the Ruckrunde [the second half of the Bundesliga season]." Hamburg have lodged a 1.5 million-euro bid for Olic, Bild reported, quoting skipper Rafael van der Vaart as saying: "Olic is in top shape, and his age is not a problem. He plays like a 25-year-old."
