He may not be among the most heralded African names in Liverpool's squad, but Sheyi Ojo has returned from a loan spell at Fulham keen to contribute to the Reds' title charge this season.
The 21-year-old moved to Anfield from Milton Keynes Dons in 2011, but despite being given a handful of appearances by Jurgen Klopp during the 2015-16 campaign, he's yet to truly break into the Merseysiders' first team.
After loan spells with Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Championship playoff winners Fulham last season, he tells KweséESPN that he's ready for a consistent run in the team this term.
"Last season was a great learning experience despite the injuries and I feel like I'm a lot more mature and ready for the season," the wideman began. "The ideal scenario is always to stay and fight for your spot, but I've got to make a decision based on my career, on my football.
"I'm eager to play and I'm eager to show what I can do and get a consistent run of games."
Ojo made 22 appearances for the Cottagers last term, of which four were from the bench, and scored four times for Slavisa Jokanovic's side.
He credits Klopp with helping his career develop to the point where he can battle for a spot in the Reds' star-studded squad, despite ongoing transfer rumours.
"He's is a great manager," Ojo added. "He's very tactical with his work.
"He's always trying to give you advice on what to do, and he's definitely helped me improve as a player and as a person."
According to reports in the British press, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough, Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and West Bromwich Albion are all considering a move for the winger.
