Los Angeles FC acquire Benny Feilhaber from Sporting Kansas City

Benny Feilhaber has left Sporting Kansas City to join Los Angeles FC in exchange for $400,000 in allocation money, the club announced on Wednesday.

The midfielder, capped 44 times by the United States, made 180 appearances in all competitions for SKC, picking up 33 goals and 56 assists in his time at Children's Mercy Park.

"Benny has enjoyed great success as an incredibly productive midfielder and has won multiple trophies here in MLS," LAFC general manager John Thorrington said in a statement.

"He has valuable experience and will provide stability and productivity to our midfield."

Sporting will receive $200,000 in General Allocation Money and $200,000 in Targeted Allocation Money as part of the trade.

Feilhaber joins MLS veterans Jordan Harvey and Walker Zimmerman in LAFC's burgeoning squad list.
