Scott McTominay is a doubt for Manchester United's Premier League clash with Swansea on Saturday after pulling out of the Scotland squad through injury.
The midfielder made his international debut against Costa Rica on Friday night but withdrew from the squad on Monday morning ahead of Scotland's friendly with Hungary in Budapest on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old will return to Carrington to be assessed by United's medical staff ahead of Swansea's visit to Old Trafford.
McTominay has started seven of the last nine games for Jose Mourinho's side, making 18 appearances for the first team this season after earning his senior debut last May.
Juan Mata, who was left out of the Spain squad during the international break, is also expected back at Carrington this week.
United have eight Premier League games remaining, as well as an FA Cup semifinal with Tottenham at Wembley next month.
Mata told the club's official website: "Having a look at the calendar, I see that there are only nine games remaining, hopefully 10, because that will mean that we made it to the FA Cup final. So that's our goal -- playing 10 games from here to the end of the season.
"The first one is next Saturday, back to the Premier League. We will play at Old Trafford against Swansea and a victory would be very important to show that we want to maintain our position in the table.
"Then, we will have plenty of time to think about the derby [vs. Man City on April 8] and the rest of the games ahead."
