Diego Maradona's Sinaloa Dorados to fight for Mexican second tier title

Diego Maradona's Sinaloa Dorados earned a 2-1 win aggregate win over Ciudad Juarez on Saturday night and now will play for the second division title in Mexico.

Ciudad Juarez had won 1-0 on the night following a 34th minute penalty by Argentine striker Leandro Carrijo. However, Dorados' 2-0 victory in the first leg meant they progressed to the final, where they will face the winner of the Atletico San Luis vs. Atlante..

Dorados suffered their second loss since Maradona took over in September, when they were bottom of the table after amassing just three points in six matches.

Maradona, who managed Argentina at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, has claimed seven wins, two draws and a loss to qualify for the postseason as the seventh seed.

In the first round Dorados knocked out the second favourites Zacatecas.
