Raul Albiol has signed a new four-year contract with Serie A title hopefuls Napoli. Albiol, 31-year-old, moved to Stadio San Paolo three years ago and has played a key role in securing two top-three finishes with the Azzurri, under Rafa Benitez and then Maurizio Sarri. On Friday Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis announced the former Real Madrid player had extended his deal until 2020 in a statement published on Twitter. The Spanish defender has played all but two minutes of Napoli's six games so far this season as they have made an unbeaten start in Serie A and the Champions League. Capped 51 times by Spain, Albiol was part of the 2010 World Cup-winning squad and also won the 2008 and 2012 European Championships with La Roja.
