Orlando's Dom Dwyer to miss game after having surgery on nose

Dom Dwyer will not play for Orlando City at the New York Red Bulls on Saturday night after having surgery on his nose.

Dwyer, who moved to the Lions two weeks ago from Sporting Kansas City, suffered a blow to the face on his debut against Atlanta United on July 21, a club spokesperson told the Orlando Sentinel.

He played in Orlando's game last weekend and trained this week before having surgery on Thursday.

The club expects him to return in time for his home debut against Columbus next week.

Against the Red Bulls, Orlando will also be without defender Jonathan Spector, who picked up a knee injury in training and will miss two to three weeks.
