Edinson Cavani should lead the line for Paris Saint-Germain against AS Nancy-Lorraine on Saturday following the international break, according to manager Unai Emery.
Emery admitted it is usually difficult for the Ligue 1 giants to mobilise their South American players immediately after action with their respective countries because of the lack of time between long-haul travel and matches.
With PSG making the trip to Stade Marcel Picot on Saturday and not Friday, though, it has given Cavani an extra day of rest to be ready.
The Uruguay international, 29, has scored 15 goals in his last 12 appearances across all competitions for club and country and is becoming an increasingly indispensable figure for Emery.
However, the Spaniard also praised Jean-Kevin Augustin, Cavani's backup, after he scored two goals for the France under-21s against Northern Ireland over the international break and hinted "he could play."
"His last match was on Tuesday," Emery said of Cavani's selection chances. "For [Nancy] I believe if he feels good in training later today, then he will play.
"Augustin has worked well lately, though, and scored while on international duty. He could play after his performance."
Marco Verratti was in action with Italy over the recent break but the 23-year-old only featured against Macedonia and was criticised for his performance despite a 3-2 away win for the Azzurri.
Emery does not expect Verratti to be too affected by not making it off the bench in the 1-1 draw at home to Spain and stated "players will be selected based on how they feel."
"For them, it is important that their national teams win and that they play and important role," Emery said of Verratti's international break. "Once they have played, they come back to us, we help them and we try to make sure that they feel good regardless of their international performance."
Verratti is part of a competitive midfield unit at Parc des Princes. Although the former Pescara man is currently an undisputed starter alongside compatriot Thiago Motta and Blaise Matuidi, Emery played up Adrien Rabiot and Grzegorz Krychowiak's "importance" to his squad.
"[Verratti, Motta and Rabiot] are all very good players, with plenty of experience and good communication," Emery said of his current starting midfield trio.
"However, for me, those who have not played as much lately, such as Krychowiak and Rabiot, are also very important.
"For now, these three [Verratti, Motta and Matuidi] are the best. Rabiot is an important player, though, and has a bright future here and at international level. Krychowiak possesses the right amount of experience but must adapt.
"Regardless of who plays in Nancy, I believe we will put out a good team."
Although most of Emery's midfielders will be available in Nancy, Javier Pastore will be out until at least mid-November as he tries to recover from a recurring calf problem.
