Paris Saint-Germain's Hatem Ben Arfa unhappy at lack of game time

Paris Saint-Germain forward Hatem Ben Arfa has spoken of his dissatisfaction at his situation with the French champions and hinted that he will have to look elsewhere for regular football next season.

Ben Arfa, 30, signed for PSG on a free transfer last summer after a prolific season with Nice, which saw him score 17 goals and assist another six in 34 Ligue 1 appearances.

However, the France international only has 23 outings in the league for PSG to his name this campaign, with just five of those coming as starts. He has yet to score for the Ligue 1 champions and has only one assist.

"I am not asking for much, not game time or a specific role, I just want to be given my chance," Ben Arfa said in a video released via a Facebook fan page. "I want to feel that there is competition in this team. I am a competitor and I am a champion. In my head, I love to win.

"It is complicated having to accept being a substitute. It is easier to accept being on the bench when you know that it will be temporary or that it could change. Otherwise, it is like a punishment. If I am given a chance and I do not play well, I will leave. I will understand.

"Today, I am unable to accept my situation. It would be crazy to accept it. I will not give up. Until the end of the season, I will try to force my destiny."
