Nice 3-0 Toulouse

Nice showed no signs of faltering in their hunt for a first Ligue 1 title since 1959 with a confident 3-0 win against Toulouse at the Allianz Riviera.Alassane Plea opened the scoring and after Younes Belhanda's superb lob had doubled their advantage, Jean Michael Seri wrapped up the points with a third.Les Aiglons looked to make an early impact but Valentin Eysseric and Plea were unable to work goalkeeper Alban Lafont inside the opening 15 minutes. Then, in the 22nd minute, the hosts got the breakthrough they arguably deserved when Plea broke free from Dante's long ball and fired between Lafont's legs to open the scoring.Their advantage was doubled under similar circumstances when another Dante ball over the top released Belhanda who superbly lobbed Lafont.Only a smart save from Lafont prevented Wylan Cyprien from making it three shortly before the break but his stinging effort was palmed away from under his own crossbar by the Toulouse stopper. The visitors offered little attacking intent and it was Nice who went closest to a goal early in the second half when Remi Walter's free-kick cleared the wall before being gathered by Lafont. However, Nice did get a third goal when, midway through the second half, Plea nodded Belhanda's delivery into the path of Seri and the Ivorian did the rest with a confident finish.Issiaga Sylla had a decent opportunity to pull one back for Les Violets after latching onto Ola Toivonen's clever pass but his deflected effort went past the post.Anastasios Donis forced a decent save from Lafont late on following some good work from Ricardo, but it mattered little as the hosts had already done enough to secure another three points.ends
