Dinamo Moscow 1-0 PSV Eindhoven

Yury Zhirkov scored deep in stoppage time to give Dinamo Moscow a 1-0 win over PSV Eindhoven in Thursday night's Europa League clash in Russia.Zhirkov was in the right place to lash the ball home after PSV goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet punched Christopher Samba's header into his path. The result meant Dinamo continued their perfect start in Group E following their 2-1 away win over Panathinaikos on September 18.The match proved to be a hard-fought encounter but Dinamo snatched it at the end due to Zhirkov's quick reactions, meaning they are now unbeaten in seven European matches.PSV won the only other game contested between the two sides in Moscow, beating them 1-0 in the 2007/08 UEFA Champions League group stage, however PSV manager and former midfielder Phillip Cocu was unable to replicate that scoreline this time around. There were few chances during the 90 minutes, but Dinamo's Tomas Hubocan did force an early clearance from Adam Maher in the fifth minute before home keeper Vladimir Gabulov tipped Georginio Wijnaldum's shot around the post shortly after. After the break, both keepers made comfortable saves before Jetro Willems put the ball over the bar for PSV in the 75th minute. It seemed like the game was going to wind down to a 0-0 draw as both sides struggled to get a shot on target before Zhirkov produced the winner in the third minute of stoppage time.Mathieu Valbuena took a corner from the right by-line and found Samba in the box, who headed goalbound. Zoet was unable to gather and instead chose to punch it clear, but the ball fell to Zhirkov, who drilled it into the left corner. The result meant PSV were unable to follow up their 1-0 win over Estoril on Matchday One with Dinamo topping the group.ends
