Minnows Gow out

Paul Watson's late goal for Raith secured a 2-0 win at Linlithgow to go into the draw for the fourth round of the Scottish Cup. Ryan Conroy scored a second-half penalty before Watson's header confirmed the win over the McBookie.com East Superleague outift. The home side nearly took an early lead when Calum Smith tested Raith's David McGurn before Linlithgow's Roddy MacLennan fired a good chance wide. Rose's Smith was on target again, as was Colin Strickland, and McGurn brilliantly kept his side in the tie as he saved both efforts. Raith grew into the game as Calum Elliot tested Michael McKinven for the first time. Conroy opened the scoring for the visitors from the spot after 68 minutes, following increased pressure from the Scottish Championship side. Gary Thom missed a great opportunity for the home side before Watson found space on the edge of the six-yard box to head home four minutes from time.
