Kevin Smith strike enough for East Fife to beat Clyde

East Fife snapped a two-game losing streak in Scottish League Two by beating Clyde 1-0 with a goal from Kevin Smith.
Gary Naysmith's men needed only 13 minutes to open the scoring, something they had not managed to do since late August.
Glasgow-born midfielder Kyle Wilkie did the hard work to find space in the box for a pass to Smith and the former Leeds striker gladly clipped home from close range.
East Fife remained the better side in the second half but found their radar malfunctioning and visiting goalkeeper John Gibson an immovable object.
As the home side tired, Sean Higgins went desperately close to scoring a last-gasp equaliser for Clyde when blasting over the bar in stoppage time.
