Peterhead see off Queen's Park and reach Scottish Challenge Cup final

Peterhead edged a 2-1 victory over 10-man Queen's Park at Hampden Park to reach the Petrofac Challenge Cup final.Rory McAllister opened the scoring for Peterhead as he curled a free-kick - conceded by Vincent Berry - into the bottom corner after 17 minutes.Paul Woods levelled for the hosts with a penalty midway through the first half after Leighton McIntosh brought down Sean Burns in the box. The 29-year-old midfielder slotted past Graeme Smith hitting the back of the net with his seventh goal of the season.But it was not long until the away side took the lead for the second time as McIntosh tapped home Kevin Dzierzawski's free-kick from the centre of the goal just before the half-hour mark.The Spiders lost Jamie McKernon to a red card at the end of the game as Peterhead progressed into the final where they will play the winners of the second semi-final between Rangers and St Mirren, who play on November 28.
