Pachuca smashes Saprissa to book place in CCL semifinals

Pachuca are through the to the CONCACAF Champions League semifinals thanks to Tuesday night's comprehensive 4-0 dismantling of Saprissa.

The tie was evenly poised heading into the match at the Estadio Hidalgo, with the aggregate score deadlocked at 0-0 after last week's first leg.

The hosts, however, were put in a strong position early with first-half goals from Victor Guzman and Jonathan Urretaviscaya.

Franco Jara and Hirving "Chucky" Lozano added two more for Pachuca after the break, before Daniel Colindres ended a miserable night for the Costa Ricans by collecting his second yellow card in the 89th minute.
