Danny Graham double keeps Blackburn top

Danny Graham's first-half double kept Blackburn top of League One as Rovers held off a Walsall fightback to win 2-1 at the Banks's Stadium.Rovers led in the 17th minute as Adam Armstrong did superbly to control Elliott Bennett's over-hit cross and his low ball into the six-yard box was tucked home by Graham.Walsall almost levelled two minutes later but George Dobson's 18-yard strike was cleared off the line by Darragh Lenihan.Graham doubled Blackburn's lead after 26 minutes, stooping to head home Jack Payne's knockdown from Bennett's cross.Rovers could have had more as Graham steered another Bennett cross wide and Armstrong flashed a fierce strike onto the crossbar from an acute angle.But Walsall were back in it in the 45th minute as Rovers goalkeeper David Raya flapped at a corner and Joe Edwards' driven effort was hooked home from close range by Jack Fitzwater.Raya atoned for his error with two superb second-half stops, tipping over Erhun Oztumer's 25-yard free-kick and rushing out to deny Saddlers substitute Julien Ngoy one-on-one as Blackburn clung on.
