Three and easy for Borussia Monchengladbach as Wolfsburg continue to struggle

Wolfsburg's Bundesliga survival hopes suffered another setback after an emphatic 3-0 defeat at Borussia Monchengladbach.Bruno Labbadia's Wolves, who are in serious danger of contesting the relegation play-off for a second successive season, fell behind inside eight minutes when Gladbach captain Lars Stindl smashed home via a post. The eighth-placed hosts still have a chance of qualifying for the Europa League and they doubled their advantage 10 minutes before half-time through a half-volley from veteran Brazilian Raffael after Jonas Hofmann's initial effort was saved by Koen Casteels. And the hosts, thrashed 5-1 at champions Bayern Munich last weekend, wrapped up the three points nine minutes later when Germany midfielder Christoph Kramer curled home a quick free-kick while goalkeeper Casteels was lining up a wall.Struggling Wolfsburg, who have won just five times all season, remain above the relegation play-off place - currently occupied by Freiburg - on goal difference.
