Canada beats Haiti to stay atop Gold Cup Group B

Cyle Larin scored twice in the second half as Canada knocked off shorthanded Haiti 4-1 in a Group B match at the CONCACAF Gold Cup on Thursday night in Kansas City, Kan.

Stephen Eustaquio and Junior Hoilett also tallied for Canada, which will face the United States on Sunday in Kansas City in the group finale. The U.S. and Martinique faced off in a late match Thursday. Canada is 2-0 in group play, having beaten Martinique 4-1 on Sunday.

Stephane Lambese scored for Haiti, which was down seven players due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Lambese's goal was Haiti's first of the tournament.

Eustaquio scored Canada's first goal, at the five-minute mark. Larin made it 2-0 at 51 minutes, and he and Hoilett locked up the match on penalty kicks in the 74th and 79th minutes.
